Goose Euro - Universal City

After doing some calling around for quotes for a rear main seal repair (according to Goose on Pat Booker Rd). I took my 2015 Audi Q5 TDI in for the repair. Their quote was in line with other shops. I choose them since they had the best availability and the 3yr/36K mile warranty. I *thought it was a safe bet. The front desk staff were professional and courteous and got me setup for the appointment. Since they were doing the rear main seal, I also had them perform a timing chain service. It took them a month for the repair, no big deal since I had another vehicle to drive, but it was a little disconcerting that a specialist would take this long. After the repair my vehicle ran fine, but I noticed the oil level was dropping about a 1/4 quart in 1800 miles. That concerned me. I meant to get under the vehicle to check their work, but didn’t get around to it til I received news about a death in my family which was a few months later. I’d planned to drive the Q5 because of the awesome range and fuel economy, but before leaving I decided to remove the splash shield and check for leaks. What I saw made me very upset. Oil was everywhere much worse then when I initially took it into Goose. I buttoned it back up called Goose about my concern and they had me bring it back to them. After their diagnosis, they said the valve cover was leaking and would cost $3K. I was very, very skeptical. If the valve cover was leaking this much, how did they miss it? Or was it misdiagnosed? I have very little belief that the valve cover started leaking that amount of oil without an external force. I don’t believe in coincidences. It was way too much oil. What I believe happened is it was misdiagnosed originally or they did not properly seal the timing chain cover to cylinder head with adhesive like the repair calls for. I’ve already paid $6K for “repairs” and at this point l, wish I’d never brought my Audi there. I made a huge mistake, I hope they are willing to make things right. If not, you just have to forgive and move on; life is too short to hold grudges and unforgiveness. Always double-check work done to your vehicle if you can and hope this helps someone else.

Update to my previous review. I'm removing my initial review because all my concerns were address in a timely manner once the proper individuals were notified. I drove it the past few days and I do feel the work was done properly and that my vehicle was repaired properly. I appreciate the communication and effort of behalf of Goose to rectify my concerns. I came in to get my battery replaced and they got it in and done in less than 2 hours. All the men were friendly and helpful and they filled my tires and top off all the fluids for free as a first time customer. Thank you, Pedro and Robert!

Pedro at front desk, Aaron (mechanic) and and Jim (shuttle) were all great for my 2005 Cooper S supercharger oil change service. It is a complex job deep in the engine bay to access the two reservoirs. It ‘s required every 50-60K miles and requires removing many components to access it. So, you need the best to get it done right, and that is what I found here at Goose Automotive, at the Pat Booker Road, Universal City location. And I am picky about any work on my cars. Price was great too, compared to my other options. Pedro was especially helpful to respond to my several detailed questions and requests. Many thanks! I’ll be back.

Had a great experience with Goose automotive. Received great customer service with Pedro at the front desk. They have great technicians that come out to talk to you about your vehicle. Turnaround was good for what i went in for. Highly recommend!!
