They’ve done a great job in fixing my F-250 when the whole wheel hub fell apart and helped argue and prove to the insurance that the previous work done by a dealership was done incorrectly and that they lied and was overlooked. That the dealership lied about certain parts being replaced new even tho it was bought from a junk yard and over looked important components. This is a very trustworthy and great quality shop👍👍

Highly recommend them being a female and constantly being taken advantage of at shops that tell you they done work and then you end up at another shop and realised no they didn’t. I don’t have to question it here great people. The only thing I could honestly say that can make it easier on your customers as some hours. Don’t coincide obviously with Shop hours that within reason you have a number to where you can reach out to a real person when needed and not just leave a message. I brought my 2006 F350 with 140k miles in to have the oil cooler replaced. This truck had never had any head gasket issues or major mechanical problems since I’ve owned it. Knowing the reputation of the 6.0 Power Stroke, and after speaking with Richard, we decided to go ahead and have the truck “bulletproofed” as preventative maintenance. After spending  $7,000 on the bulletproofing work, I immediately started having problems with the truck blowing coolant out of the degas bottle whenever accelerating on the freeway. I brought the truck back multiple times and explained that something was clearly wrong with the heads or head gaskets, but the issues existence kept being denied. On top of that, when I got the truck back, the A/C system was leaking refrigerant and lasted about 3 days, my rearview camera no longer working because the wires had been cut, multiple vacuum lines were cut or left disconnected from when they pulled the cab and when I stopped at a stop light the “Low oil level” light would come on. Because the truck was repeatedly blowing coolant out of the degas bottle, the cooling system overheated and ended up cracking the radiator. When I brought the truck back, they had to replace the radiator as well, costing me another $1,600 — an issue that was a direct result of the head gasket problems that were never addressed. Due to work and the distance it was about a year before the truck finally made it back to them again for further inspection, and the truck sat during much of that time. However, I stayed in contact with them and continued letting them know about the issues I was experiencing from the beginning. After speaking with Richard again, I was told they would charge me additional $2500. labor just to pull the heads and inspect them, and that it “couldn’t possibly be a head gasket,” claiming it would have to be a cracked head to cause the symptoms we were experiencing. After continued problems and frustration dealing with Starr Diesel, we finally took the truck to a well-known and reputable diesel shop in Houston for a second opinion. After inspecting the truck, they immediately suspected a blown head gasket. Once they pulled the heads, they discovered the heads had been machined crooked and would never properly seal to the block. Extremely disappointed after spending almost $9,000 only to end up with worse problems than before. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using Starr Diesel & Auto Repair. I do not feel they were honest about the issues or repairs with my truck, and they did not stand behind their work. I am willing to give them the opportunity to make this right by covering the cost of the necessary repairs.

I trust this shop more than anyone else. They are honest, quick, and communicate effectively. I've had great experiences both time they have worked on my vehicles. I highly recommend.

Since meeting Mr Richards The owner of Star diesel auto repair, it's coming up on roughly 18 months. He has done three jobs on my 2012 Ford 250, his crew know exactly how to diagnostic and repair the problem right the first time. I must say there are no pressure tactics used in providing his service to the public. If you are a patient customer, allowing his staff to diagnose and fix your problem of your vehicle. Well that's a place you need to take it in Texas City. Okay bye y'all. This is Charles, recently I can have my car service check at Star automotive repair, it was showing up a warning signal. Unable to determine the problem, because that car is a bag of vehicle only and often drove once a month. So I took it to start automotive repair they determine it was just a battery warning light come on, so replacing the battery the car runs lovely. You really need to determine where you take your vehicles at for quality service. So you have less headaches down the road, because all mechanics do not work as mechanics, not just to get you in and out I'll make a fast dollar. So if you have a good mechanic you need to stick with one, All gilstar automotive repair, service diesel gasoline and cars . Oh also did I mention this is the first mechanic that give senior citizen discount rates.
