C & A Foreign Transmission

We originally came in for our BMW, thinking this was just a transmission shop, but we quickly found out they work on a wide range of vehicles and handle much more than just transmissions. That was a huge plus for us. From the start, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and upfront about everything. They took the time to clearly explain the issue and didn’t try to upsell or recommend unnecessary repairs. We’ve dealt with other shops in the past that made us feel like they were trying to gouge us, so we were a bit cautious at first. This experience was completely different. The pricing was fair, the work was high-quality, and most importantly, we felt like we could trust them. It’s not easy to find a shop that does great work and treats customers honestly, but this one really stands out. We’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend them to anyone needing reliable automotive work—not just transmission service.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! Unless you want more problems than you came there with. I usually only do reviews for good service or no review at all, but this place deserves ZERO stars if that was an option. I had my car towed here and days went by with out any updates so I decided I would start calling for an update. Patricia with a horrible attitude answers the phone and after a week she started ignoring my calls and I would have to call from a different number. They finally tell me that it would cost 1900 for a transmission flush and filter and something with the abs sensors. I agreed for them to start working on the car. Almost a week went by and I called for an update and she says they changed the abs sensor but the light is still on and they dont have time to thoroughly diagnose the issue so I decided to just go get it. When I picked it up the car thee driver side window was down but I didn't think anything of it and we drove off to the nearest car wash. Sitting at the car wash we realize there is a crack on the driver window and they were already closed for the day so I said fine I'll have to replace it because I know they will deny it. I get home and park the car. A few days go by and I notice there is a really strong smell of gas. So strong that you can smell it immediately when I pulled up in my other car. So I called and Patricia answered and I explained that there is a really bad gas smell and the gas is coming out of the car while the car is sitting. She advised that the mechanics worked on the transmission which is nowhere near the gas lines so it wasn't their fault. She acts as if she is the mechanic and worked on the car herself. Disgusting! I let her know it had to be something done while it was in their care because this was never an issue before. She denied all responsibility. If you look up gas leak after transmission work, it will give you all the information you need. She knows nothing about cars but will argue that they did nothing wrong. My car is in another shop getting fixed and of course everything they are finding is something that the last mechanic did wrong. FIX YOUR CAR YOURSELF BEFORE YOU TAKE IT HERE AND LET THEM EXPERIMENT AND TAKE NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR MISTAKES THEY MADE! CLEARLY PATRICIA IS A FRONT DESK MECHANIC AND KNOWS HER STUFF. 🙄 Edit after her response... you see she never talks about their lack of communication or take any accountability. And just an FYI, My vehicle was towed from my driveway and I was referred by someone at another shop when I called because they dont do foreign vehicles. So I'm not sure why you made that up LOL! 🤣 AGAIN DONT GO HERE!!!!

We’d taken our car there several times for a persistent coolant issue and an engine light. Patricia was always pleasant and helpful. However, despite paying over $1,000 for repairs, the original problem continued. They did successfully address a few minor issues, but the situation with our convertible top was extremely disappointing. They “repaired” the top and charged us over $800. The very first time we tried to open it after picking up the car, we heard a pop and the top malfunctioned again. When we brought it back immediately, we were told the entire mechanism now needed to be replaced at a cost of nearly $1500. After months of debating whether to fix the car or sell it, we finally took it to another BMW specialist, Bertini’s, for a final opinion. They diagnosed and repaired the coolant issue right away. They also discovered that whoever had previously worked on the convertible top had installed a component incorrectly—and that was the reason it failed. Bertini’s corrected the installation on both sides of the mechanism, and the top now works perfectly, complete with a two-year warranty. Again, Patricia was consistently professional and kind, but the owner’s attitude fell short. He seemed far more interested in talking about himself than addressing the problems at hand.

The transmission on my Porsche went out on me in the middle of the freeway. After calling around, I loaded the car on a uhaul and took it around town for estimates. Every estimate I got was for $23,000 or higher. I found C & A and took my car there as the others. They were the only ones that actually took the transmission apart and replaced the parts that were damaged. Everyone else just wanted to replace the whole transmission. Once he received the parts, it didn’t take him but a day to get it together and running great again and all for a fraction of the other places. Highly recommended.

This is a family own business. I have been using these for years. Very reliable, cost lower than many repair garages. If you have commercial vehicles, they do transmission for many companies. Very good with European cars . I just service my BMW there, and it cost me about 30% of what the dealer was charging. Using BMW processors and repair
