My husband and I just moved here so we’ve been on the hunt for a shop and we’re never going back! The meaning of professionalism, true hospitality and going above and beyond. My car was leaking oil and they were so detailed and transparent with us from the beginning to the end. Were kind enough to offer my husband a Lyft so he wouldn’t have to catch a ride. We will be definitely be back soon! :)

After a bad experience with a mobile mechanic, namely with timeliness, my wife and I had to look for a reputable auto shop for our vehicle problems. My brother who had been a mechanic in the military initially thought it may be an issue with the transmission as the noise seemed to be happening around the transmission and power steering area. We searched the web and Google brought up Total True as the first option. After calling for availability they right away said they could see my vehicle. Vicky’s customer service skills are implacable, asking questions and getting a broad picture to prepare whoever their technician was going to be to verify and inspect my vehicle after I got to the shop. From the get go, as soon as I walked in with my shadow (3 year old) in tow, I felt welcome, from Kayla and Vicky greeting us to when I was told to wait a few minutes for their technician to accompany me to my vehicle so he can test drive it and get a feel for what may be going on. That was on Friday, and being that it was a weekend and they were not open, I was hoping they could fix it right then and there. After the initial test drive they couldn’t tell what the specific issue was yet, but feeling that the vehicle would be safely drivable for the next several days the recommendation was made to drop it off Sunday evening so they could inspect it with them freshly starting the car themselves Monday morning. When Monday rolled around, I called them mid morning to get an update. I was informed that they had not finished testing the vehicle yet but would inform me when they got a report from their mechanic(s). By midday I was getting antsy and called again. They were happy to inform me that they found a couple things, it had nothing to do with the transmission, but the alternator and belt. They need approval to fix that first and then they would proceed with testing. I gave them permission to proceed. A three and a half hours later I called again. This time I was told they had fixed the alternator and it o have us drive it around to see if that had fixed what I was experiencing. Being that I had no vehicle at the moment they sent a Lyft as part of their service. I am happy to say, in a round about way, that my wife and I are completely satisfied by the customer service, expertise, professionalism, and conduct provided by the Total True Auto. As a side note, my wife commented upon dropping off our vehicle on what she read on the front face of their building, (to paraphrase), “closed on weekends. Saturday is a day for families. Sunday is a day of rest.” After she read it she said, “I feel safe having them work on our vehicle.” That says a lot. Thank you to the team at Total True (Schertz location). A grace at job well done!

Minor problem with my coolant valve. They took literally 24 hours to repair. Super fast! The inspection report was super detailed and pricing was pretty fair compared to other repair places and the dealership. Not everyone will feel the same way, but I like around the clock updates especially with repairs. All in all will definitely be back and referring them to others.
