These guys are great. They did exactly what I needed done, made sure I was able to choose the parts between options, and did the work they said they'd do quickly and for the best price in town. Even offered a guarantee on the work. Judging by the vintage car collectors who also had their cars there, I knew I was in good hands. No need to look for mechanics in the future, these guys have my business.

01/26: We want to give a shout out to Adian and the Techs at MKT Garage. These guys are committed to quality and customer service. We just completed our fourth visit since finding them mid 2025. I have previously posted about the work they did on my Jeep Wrangler. A tough to diagnose problem with starting. I had been to multiple area shops before they were able to solve and fix the problem. In December 2025, we took our Aztek to have a leaky gasket fixed. It was much more but they worked resolved all the issues finding parts for a discontinued vehicle. The cost to repair was more than reasonable, when comparing it to the price and payment of buying a new car. In January 2026, I took the Jeep back to have them address an issue with the manifold pipe. This was diagnosed during my first visit, but I opted to focus on the starting problem. Repairs complete and back on the road. Hopefully, our last repair visit for some time was completed today. Again a tough to diagnose problem with the Aztek. The "Brake Light" comes on with making a right turn at about 30 mph. In my mind tough to find, but they did find the faulty sensor and replaced it. It may seem like a lot of auto issues; but, realize the cars are 2003 and 2009 models. They were build solid but need some TLC as they get older. If you are in search of repairs for your car, give MKT Garage a call. 06/25: Completely Satisfied. My 2009 Jeep was difficult to start especially as the outside temperature got hotter. I suspected the Neutral Safety Switch was failing. The folks at MKT performed an inspection and diagnosis. It was indeed the NSS but an adjacent part was contributing to the failure. Both were replaced and the Jeep is starting with a single turn of the key. The full inspection did discover some other items that needed attention. Note, they identified issues, they did not pressure sell the fixes. I had them address some of them to prevent bigger problems in the future. MKT will certainly be at the top of my call list if future problems arise.

Exceptional Service and Integrity I brought my Ram 2500 to MKT Garage on a Monday afternoon for evaluation of some wheel and steering concerns. By noon the following day, I received a detailed call explaining their findings and recommended repairs. They took the time to clearly outline each item, including the option to replace the brakes while the wheel hubs were already being serviced which was a practical and cost-effective suggestion that I greatly appreciated as I knew it would need brakes as the vehicle has 170,000 miles on it The work was completed promptly, and my vehicle was ready by Wednesday. The pricing was more than fair, the communication was excellent, and the professionalism of the entire team was evident throughout the process. It’s refreshing to find a shop that values honesty, efficiency, and quality workmanship. I will continue to trust MKT Garage with all future maintenance and repairs on my vehicle.

December 2024 I took my jeep to MTK for a few things not working. My service axle light was on, the jeep wouldnt start (ended up being the starter) and it was throwing a check engline light of "cylinder 6 misfire". The jeep had over heated a week or so before this light came on, hubby replaced the spark plugs and the radiator that were bad. We took the jeep in to the shop right before the new year and knew it would be a bit since we were using the warranty, we explained to the shop what was going on and indicated we thought it may have something to do with the motor because of the check engine light and the spark plugs, radiator and the injector being replaced already by my husband. The "cause" was a blown head gaskset. The heads were sent off to the head shop and they came back fine. The shop was great working with our warranty company and keeping us in the loop. Many of our jeep groups highly reccomended Matt and his shop. I was hopeful and even though the delay was mainly due to the warranty company MTK did a great job and communcating with us. We went in and picked up the jeep. 2 weeks after getting her back (and I'll add here nearly 2k miles later, thanks to driving from Canyon Lake to San Antonio daily. Matt made a point to point out to us that we drove alot it these two weeks) she was throwing the check engine light again saying "cylinder six misfire" and was blowing out white smoke from the exhaust. The shop said it was because there was a hose that was busted "clear open" and it had over heated with no coolant in the resivoir and it blew head gaskets again. We explained that the jeep never over heated, it struggled to shift from 2nd to 3rd for about 10 seconds and that was it. Aiden kept telling us about the hose that was busted and was completley out of coolant. My husband tried to explain that we never saw a puddle, she ran over 100 miles the day she struggled to shift and the motor never locked up so he wasnt sure how the coolant was "empty". I requested to speak to Matt.Once Matt called me back he stated it wasnt the hose that Aiden said it was, it was another hose and that the coolant wasnt empty it was just low. I expresssed how I didnt want to just keep putting bandaids on the issues to fix it, that I wanted the true issue to be resovled. Matt expressed he knew in his heart that the reason the head gaskets blew again was because of this hose and coolant issue. Matt did work with us on the amount we would need to pay, as my argument was that his shop had the motor, heads etc out and missed this "hose" and I'd be replacing the head gaskets that he just replaced 2 weeks prior AGAIN because of this oversight. I'll respect my promise I made to Matt when I picked up my jeep the second time because I have that integrity. We agreed to a price and the following week Matt called my husband to inform him that "while they were about to replace the head gaskets they saw water build up on the cylinder 6 and saw a crack in it so he made the executive decision and took a Jeep gladiator motor they had from a previous motor replacement that with roughly the same mileage and put that in our jeep, using the good parts off both motors to build us a new one" Matt never asked us if this was ok. The job was already done. We have a warranty that wasnt used for this "repair". Yes, I wanted my jeep back quickly, but I wanted it back properly. When I picked the jeep up the second time I was shown the crack, they stated they put about 35 miles on the jeep and it did not over heat. I asked about the warranty and if it was voided by the decision the shop was made and was told 'I cannot answer that question".

$180 service charge ! I called before hand letting them know I had already got it checked out and they told me it was the compressor. He told me to take it in because he doesn’t think it’s the compressor, that it may be the condenser. 3 hours later of wasting money and time lol which we don’t have now and days ! To find out I still need to change out the compressor. lol 😂 I’m sure they do amazing work ! But quoted $1600 to change the compressor when I had been calling around for 2 weeks for quotes. In my opinion, don’t waste your time or money on this shop.
