Reliable mechanic, would recommend. For any german car owners, the owner likes to work on those fine, well made, difficult to find good mechanics cars too. Little hard to see. They're sign is at the end of the access road to the shops just off the frontage road. The road is IMMEDIATELY before the tiny gambling parlor, if you pass it up, you have to go all the way around. TURN IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE APEX SIGN AT THE ROAD. More details: I'm visiting friends in town and needed my steering checked. Asked about a local shop and in the conversation, my friend told me this was a good shop to his knowledge. Figured out he was speaking of a different shop, so finding Apex was a happy accident. Called and was able to drop my truck first thing Monday morning before I had to fly out of town. Got texts, pictures, and explanations as asked and I approved the work. I'm a full time road nomad so, my truck IS my LIFE. The 5 stars comes because the general relations with the shop were top notch. The mechanic that worked on my truck not only found the issue, but has the knowledge skills and experience for some machining and had to grind down a spot in a steering linkage to properly fit. (Older vehicles and new parts don't have good tolerances.) This was a serious issue and 3 OTHER MECHANICS COULDN'T EVEN FIND THE ACTUAL PROBLEM. I was previously directed to change a few parts, spent thousands and STILL had the issue. "It's just the way the truck drives." they said. They drove around and he troubleshooting and backtracked to find the problem. Good shop, critical thinkers and most importantly, NOT JUST PARTS CHANGERS!!!! This shop is a reliable resource and I will come here if I need on future visits and if I'm on a road trip and have issues within a few hundred miles, I'll come back.
