I had a coolant leak. This is a common issues with these cars and first you have to pinpoint where it's coming from. Don't just fix one of the three I listed because eventually, those plastic parts will all start leaking. The leak was coming from the engine block water hose connector. I decided to replace three parts with all aluminum upgrades. He swapped out the oil filter housing, transmission oil cooler, and engine block water hose connector on a 2018 BMW 430i. I paid 55% less than what the BMW dealership quoted me for this job. It's not an easy job. It wasn't a quick turnaround but that's okay. You want a mechanic to take their time on your investment. These are common failures on the following chassis: F36 (2018 430i/440i Gran Coupe): Uses B48 or B58 engines. F30/F31/F34 (3 Series): 320i, 328i, 330i, 340i. F32/F33 (4 Series Coupe/Convertible): 428i, 430i, 440i. G20/G22 (3/4 Series 2019+): Early models. X3/X4 (F25/G01): 2018+ models. X1/X2 (F48/F39): B46/B48 engines. My car hasn't leaked again 30 days after repair. Nicely done.
