Ten Minute Oil Change, Lancaster

Crooks! Shady! Shady! Shady! On 11/10/25 my SUV overheated and this was the nearest repair shop. They said my water pump was shot and quoted me $610 to replace it! I later checked around and found out that the dealership, Friendly Chevrolet, was cheaper by almost $100! However I was in a spot and needed the repair done immediately so I told them to proceed. Approximately 6 hrs later, it was done and I was told I had a 1 year warranty on parts and labor. Yesterday, 3/30/26 while I was taking a vacation in east Texas, my truck began overheating again! A local mechanic said it was the water pump again. I limped it back here and asked them to do the warranty work. They took the water heater (leaving bracket in place) and told me the engine was cracked and it would cost $2600 to repair. When I balked they said they’d do me a favor and only charge $1500! I asked them to remove bracket so I could see damage. They did not want to but when I insisted they removed bracket and there was NO DAMAGE. After much arguing, they replaced the pump, as I originally requested, and I was out the door, no charge. The mechanic and the manager were visibly pissed off but my wallet was happy. Go anywhere else! These people are crooks and liars! All the BS saved me a lot of money but cost me 6 or 7 hours at the shop and a lot of stress. I’ve dealt with shady mechanics before but these jerks were absolutely shameless!

I’ve only been to this 10 Minute Oil Change in Lancaster on Pleasant Run rd once or twice before, but based on those visits, I had a positive impression. The technicians seemed knowledgeable, professional, and transparent—informing me of any issues without trying to upsell unnecessary services. Because of that, I would have felt comfortable recommending them. That’s why today’s experience was so disappointing. I came in for a routine oil change, brake fluid service, and state inspection. After being quoted the prices, I agreed and they pulled my truck into the shop. However, just a few minutes later, a technician came out and told me they would not be servicing my vehicle. Naturally, I asked why—wondering if there was an issue with my truck or if I had done something wrong. The technician couldn’t provide a clear answer and said that the woman inside (who I assume is the manager) made the decision. What made the situation worse is that she refused to come out and speak with me directly. There was no explanation, no attempt to communicate—just a refusal of service without any professionalism or basic courtesy. Even with limited prior visits, this experience was confusing and frustrating. A simple, respectful conversation would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this location. 2 stars only because technician were polite about the whole situation.

I went there for an inspection. They took out 2 filters without my consent asking me if I wanted to change them. I told them no because I have a mechanic and that wasn't what I came in for. I was later told by another person that they look for other things without consent trying to make more money. My filters didn't need changing and it pissed me off. The next day my car is leaking oil and has to be put in the shop. I know they loosened something for that to happen overnight and I will never go back. They don't do what you ask for without messing around under your hood.

I went to this location for an oil change, upon checking on my car they had all 4 windows down. I inquired about as the passenger back window does not operate correctly. Miguel proceeds to tell me they let all windows down for safety, to not lock keys in the car. I explained the issued with the window he shrugged his shoulders and tells me I should have informed him of that. I stated I've never gotten an oil change were the place let's all the windows down. I stated two should be sufficient . He tells me oh well,I stated he was being rude amd that I would be contacting the owner or corporate. All of a sudden none of the workers speak English. Asked the Jose who checked me out for the owners name, he no longer speaks English but just a few minutes prior he was able to tell me the air filters needed changing and the cost of that. Horrible service, would give them a zero rating if available.

I went to this place for a inspection and was given a a paper stated it failed. I ask the guy why would it fail he didn't know. He charged me $18.50 and said to come back in 15 days. In my mind something wasn't right. I left there and went to O'Reilly. They put the thing on my car to check the code. He told me there were no codes. I left there and went somewhere else to get an inspection and it pass. I will not be going back to Ten Minute Oil Change in Lancaster. If I could give 0 stars I would
