Took my car in for one reason. Turns out he “fixed” another thing I NEVER authorized with the mechanic. So when I get to the shop to pick up my car I’m charged an extra $100 I wasn’t aware . He said and I quote in English bc he said in Spanish, “sorry I should’ve called you before fixing it” kept repeating “sorry”. I’m still very upset and will be talking to the manager and my bank.

I've really mixed feelings about this one. First, they do outstanding work at very reasonable prices. If you live nearby they'll take you home and drop you off, then pick you up if the repairs are going to take a while. They rebuilt the cooling system on our old car and seem to have done a good job. We don't know because my wife had to insist on selling the car two months later. HOWEVER... they can be unreliable as a business. Today I wanted to get the SUV's state inspection, so I arrived bright and early at 7:55 am. They didn't open until 9. And it wasn't an accident; none of the mechanics showed up during that time either. So it was deliberate. Fine. Stuff happens. But could you take the 2 minutes to write "Not opening until 9, Tuesday" and hang it on the door??? I've gone there for decades, but I probably will not anymore. That's a level of notgivingashiteness that I just can't abide.
