Two Brothers Automotive

I have been coming to Two Bros Automotive for 8+ years… They have worked on my Mercedes, Honda and Ford vehicles for various needs. The owners and automotive team are very knowledgeable, friendly, HONEST and professional. Highly recommended— I would have given 10 ⭐️!!

I brought my Jetta in for squealing breaks and after 2 hours I called to check. Matt said he checked it out, drove it, and the pads are in really good condition The rotors may just needed to be lubed up. I expected to pay $500+ for new brakes/pads and I paid $0! He didn't even charge me for his time. I truly appreciate the honesty and I will be coming back if I have any issues in the future.

Beware of this company. I took my VW here today and it was working fine before I took it in(I can prove it with reading tests from 3 different in board dash readers) for coil packs and spark plugs. I dont know what they did but there was zero acceleration and the car will hardly move, talking about they reset the codes. Now on top of what's stated above, there are lights all over the dashboard as well. Called and spoke to Matt, who sounds as dumb as a box of rocks and takes 10 mins to answer a question, blamed it on transmission and dismissed me. They just took $700 of my daughters money, only to get the car back in worse shape is NOT MORAL. Take your cars elsewhere. **Update** The manager called me this morning and proceeded to talk over me saying that OReillys and CarSpa code readings are incorrect. He doesnt normally work on cars that they dont diagnose and he doesnt know how mine got past him. He then became aggressive and said "why are you doing this", he refused to let me get a word in edge wise and told me if I didnt pick up the car he was gonna park it on the curb. I can tell you that the car just came out of the shop fixed, was being started and driven fine Sun and Mon, took it in for coil packs and spark plugs to pass emissions and when I went to pick it up it wont even go over 25 mph. Beware. I hope the owner reads this and contacts me. **Update below**they issued a foolish response. The vehicle was al.ost completely torn down and repaired the last 3 months with brand new components which is why we were at the emissions testing phase. The manager is covering up for an employee or someone who made a mistake. This vehicle had 1 diagnostic code error when we brought it in. It had started fine for days. He is highly mistaken.

The man at the desk was very rude to my wife. I'm Deaf and couldn't understand what he said, but the way he was acting and his expression/body language, it was obvious. When he suggested we leave my car, I made an excuse to bring it later and left and I asked my wife, who told me she had asked him three times to stop being so rude and he just blew her off. Just uncalled for. I decided to go somewhere else as I'm not going to give my business to a place that acts like this. I live within five minutes of this mechanic, but I'd rather drive farther if it means my wife is treated with respect.

Brought in my Jetta because I had an emission leak (code:P0456).. brought in the diagnostic sheet printed from oreilys to tell them I had an evap leak… they insisted that they would need to run their own diagnostics(disregarding the print out).. they call me a day later saying that the leak detection pump needs to be replaced(false leak detected)… 571 dollars (diagnostic + labor + part) and 2 days later I call to ask if the car is ready.. part still hasn’t come in but will be taken care of by the next day… after being postponed yet another day I am able to pick up the car. All is fine, 5 days later the check engine light comes on… oreilys diagnostic print out says it’s the same code(p0456)… I return to two brothers explaining that the same code that I came to get fixed has persisted.. ask them if they can fix the issue I payed for them to fix.. “well before, it was your leak detection pump not working(but it was telling me there was a leak, falsely apparently), now that it works, it’s detecting the leak”… so he diagnosed my car before even taking a look at it? Also he asked me if they did a smoke test… how am I supposed to know? “Oh no we didn’t do that, we will have to do that, then determine what part needs to be fixed/replaced”… you’re kidding me right? Same code. But without looking at the car: “oh now it’s actually leaking”…. Right… I ask politely if they can fix my original issue that I already paid them 570 for… “this is a totally different issue, this is a p0456, I don’t know what code you came in with”… mind you I brought in a diagnostic print out each time I came in. Same code… trying to tell me it wasn’t a p0456 when I have proof… I do not recommend these mechanics to anyone.. my family,relatives, and I have been regular customers here for over a decade out of the convenience of the location. Well I will not be coming back anytime soon, nor will anyone else I know. When you bring your car to Two Brothers automotive in clear lake, you are taking a financial risk at the slim(being optimistic) chance that they will actually fix the issue at hand. I recommend anyone who needs any type of automotive work, find another mechanic and save yourself the headache/money… you will be without your car for days with no solution… only another reason to take your car back to them. Never again.
