Tex-Star Muffler, Diesel, and Alignments

I brought my car to Tex Star Muffler #1 because it was shaking and smoking badly. I was charged over $1,400 for repairs, and when I got my vehicle back, it was shaking and smoking worse than when I dropped it off. Absolutely nothing was fixed. When I brought this to their attention, the staff was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of taking responsibility or attempting to resolve the issue, I was treated like I was a problem for simply expecting the work I paid for to be done correctly. The way I was spoken to felt disrespectful and uncomfortable. Spending that amount of money only to have your car returned in worse condition is unacceptable. Between the poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and terrible customer service, I would never return here and would strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere. I will also be reporting this experience to the Better Business Bureau. Response: Thank you for the response, but several things in it are inaccurate. First, stating that I was “never your customer” simply because my husband brought the vehicle in is a weak attempt to dismiss my concerns. The vehicle and the bill affect our household. If my husband is your customer, then I am directly impacted as well. We are not separate parties when it comes to a $1,400 repair that was paid for out of the same household. Second, your statement that no promises were made contradicts what was told to my husband when the vehicle was picked up. He was clearly told the vehicle would be fixed and “good as new.” Unfortunately, that was not the case. The car was returned in worse condition than when it was dropped off — still shaking and smoking. Third, the issue was not that I “didn’t give you a chance to talk.” I did listen to what was being said, but the explanations given did not make sense and did not match what had previously been communicated. The conversation became frustrating because after spending over $1,400, the vehicle’s condition had not improved at all. Also, returning old parts does not prove the repair solved the problem. It simply proves parts were replaced. The result is what matters, and the result was that the vehicle continued to have the exact same issues. At the end of the day, this review reflects my experience: paying a significant amount of money, receiving a vehicle that was not repaired, and encountering dismissive customer service when raising concerns. As stated previously, I will be submitting this experience to the Better Business Bureau so the situation can be reviewed objectively

Noticed my 2010 Silverado been losing power going uphill. Thought it was my transmission, Antonio diagnosed my truck, turned out to be the spark plugs. With his recommendation, he changed out all coils & plugs with new ones. Now my truck runs like new, strong & solid. Antonio knows his way around a Chevy that’s for sure. Highly recommended

Super bad service and bad attitude been going here for years the only people that have been changing my oil and they messed up the screw from oil pan and wanna charge 35 to take it off bad business they didn't even care losing a long time customer even my muffler keeps falling off Mi jente no les den negosio a esta jente servicio muy mal

Hey everybody this is a nice shop they have here, the prices are very reasonable and the service is attentive and quick. This makes a good place to bring your car for your brakes muffler and stuff like that. I asked if they did a little AC and stuff but and they don't but for your brakes and stuff and your muffler is a very nice shot and they do alignments as well. It was very quick for me and the service was great.

Everytime a car comes in and you're getting you catalytic converter changed, it's like they pay attention more to the other vehicles and you was here first. My truck is on the right and to the left is another customer (3rd) getting their stuff fixed before finishing mines. Bad when it comes to 1st come 1st serve. (Doesn't exist here) if you make it here 1st and someone comes 20minutes after you, expect to wait longer on getting your stuff finished before the person that came after you. It's a simple job of cutting and a little welding. Been here 1hour and a half already.
