I have been going to Mr. Lang for over 20 years... that equates to about 6 cars that he’s maintained and/or repaired for me. If I could name my firstborn born after him and his son, Paul, I would! Reasonable, very knowledgeable of foreign and domestic card, and a community staple! Highly recommend.
View on GoogleMy work requires me to move a lot, and in all the cities where I've lived, Lang is probably my favorite mechanic. Fair, honest, gets work done quickly and at an agreeable price. They don't do appointments, but I've found that if I drop the car off first thing in the morning, it's always done by close of business.
View on GoogleUpdate: Wanted to provide an update to my original post. I went back to Lang's after they initially inspected my brakes. The problem I was having was that the car would tremble when I would gently press on the brakes. They took it for a test drive with me in the car and identified the issue right away (a warped rotor). They were very upfront with me about my options. Very fair price and a quick repair. What I liked most was that they kept me in the loop during the whole process. They even called me when my car was ready (unlike many mechanics). Since then, I have recommended Lang's to both my father and my youngest brother, who also had nothing but positive experiences. We have found our family mechanic and I always recommend Lang's to my friends and colleagues who are in search for an honest, reliable mechanic. Original Post: After hours of researching where to take my car to inspect my brake pads, I couldn't pass up Lang's after reading all the great reviews. I'm usually EXTREMELY skeptical of mechanics given past experiences. Lang's did a visual inspection of my brakes and told me everything looks fine and that I wouldn't need to change my front pads for another 3-6 months depending on my usage. I was extremely pleased by the honesty. Will definitely be doing business with them again and recommending them to friends and family! We need more honest, family-owned businesses like this in our city!
