Brake and Tire Check

I recently visited Brake Check for an oil change and additional services, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. The young men were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. Their customer service went beyond exceptional they made me feel valued, informed, and confident that my vehicle was in great hands. It’s rare to find a business that combines efficiency, and outstanding customer care so seamlessly. My overall experience with Brake Check was truly phenomenal, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, reliable automotive service. I will absolutely be returning for future services. Absolutely terrible experience with the Brake Check/Brake & Tire Check location on S Loop W in Houston. I brought my 2007 Toyota Camry in on April 3, 2026 for brake work and paid $1,171.10. Before bringing my vehicle in, I had ZERO starting issues. During the service, they also attempted to replace the valve cover, and after that work was done, my vehicle would not start when I came back to pick it up. On top of that, I later discovered stripped lug nuts after their service, and one of my tires nearly came off while driving, which could have caused a serious wreck. That alone is completely unacceptable and dangerous. Because of the issues that followed their work, I ended up having to take my vehicle to another repair facility and spent an additional $1,137.48 in diagnostics and repairs. What makes this even worse is the complete lack of accountability afterward. I spent over a month trying to handle this professionally and gave them multiple opportunities to make things right. Instead, I got the run around from management, including Michael Tucker and Steve, with no real resolution, communication, or accountability. Paying over $1,100 just to leave with a car that suddenly won’t start, stripped lug nuts, and safety concerns is unacceptable. Then having to spend another $1,100+ elsewhere while management avoids properly resolving the issue made this one of the worst automotive service experiences I’ve ever had. Customers deserve better communication, better workmanship, and better accountability than this.

My car "Old New Love". Brake Check was a first for me. I purchased a new-used car and the previous owner had record of service maintenence here. I'm a firm believer that if it's not broken don't fix it. So l continue with Brake Check, l must admit. I've never been disappointed.

A couple of years ago I gave my MB 2015 GLK to my grandson. See review below to know that I'd been bringing it to Brake Check for service for a while and always very satisfied with the service and work at this store. Grandson had done some hard driving in his time with it. So back for brake work, struts, and whatever it took to fix the ride. Still doing great, professional, clean and honest work. I am, and I'm sure grandson will love the smooth ride. This vehicle will deisel on for long time. And now safely and smoothly. Nice!!!

Made an appointment online, arrived, and waited for my vehicle. The price and service was way better than the dealership! Will recommend and return!
