Auto Care Express (A.C.E.)

If I can rate this shop ZERO stars I would. April of Last year I got in a car accident in my 2019 Toyota Corolla XSE. The entire front of the car was messed up, from the bumper, the radiator, lights, front, you name it. I had the car towed at the original location at WEST BELLFORT (carefull auto) where Mr. Lenny was working at the time Last May. He told me the total cost to fix my car was $5400 and I paid him $1000 up front. Every two weeks I paid him whatever I could ($500 here, $400 there, $200 here, etc…) until I finished paying the final balance. He would even text me about the remaining balance every two weeks. In the meantime while I was paying him and waiting for my car to be fixed, I was using rental cars for work because I am a medical courier and I drive to Louisiana for work. I finished paying Mr. Lenny a final balance December 9th 2023 and he told me word of mouth that my car would be ready MID JANUARY. As soon as I finished paying off the last balance he COMPLETELY ghosted me and stopped reaching out to me. It is May and the car STILL isn’t ready yet. Every time I would ask him for a car update. He would say it would be ready “this day,” then it would be ready “that day” My car has been at his shop for a little over a year and I finished paying him the balance almost 6 months ago and the car still isn’t ready yet. Because of his negligence and lack of communication I had no choice but to put a down payment on another vehicle so I wouldn’t lose my job because when you’re renting vehicles out of pocket it becomes expensive. (I have spent over $20,000 in rental fees while waiting for this man to fix my car) My Toyota is now under repo status and I have been looking for my car and it is NOWHERE to be found. I just found out a few days ago that this man moved locations (13451 Fondren road) and HE DID NOT TELL ME ANYTHING. NO TEXT MESSAGE or nothing. Toyota told me the last known location of the car was in Pasadena and the last time I seen my car the entire front was missing and it was not in drivable condition. They believe he might’ve took the tracker out of the car. So at this point since no one knows where the car is located at, the car is basically stolen at this point. I went to the shop yesterday asking for my money back and not only did he refuse, he also refused for me to see the car that I paid him money for him to fix. It doesn’t take 6 months to fix a car. It doesn’t take a year to fix a car. I have NO IDEA what the car looks like now or even if the car is even at this alleged location… and even when I tried to explain my frustrations to him, he cut me off, didn’t want to listen, got aggressive with me, excuse was “I’ve been going through a lot” and drove off like a coward. EVERYONE is going through a lot right now. That does not mean you stop communicating/or ghost about a service that they paid you to fix. Never in my life will I EVER go to this man again. I don’t recommend this shop to ANYONE. If you are a woman PLEASE do not go to a mechanic shop by yourself because mechanics tend to take advantage of women. This hurts me the most because I know him outside of business and I would have NEVER expected him to do me like this. This man ran off with my money and put me in a bind. Wasted time, energy and money for NOTHING. Paid a man for a service that he NEVER completed… because he’s been “going through a lot”

You will not find a more honest or knowledgeable mechanic than Lenny and his staff. I met Lenny 2 years after purchasing a used lemon from Archer Volkswagen. He refused to fix it because it was at a point of no return. I knew it but didn't have money for a new car while I hadn't finished paying on the lemon. He advised he could make it run, but it would be a costly waste of money. Others had told me the same, but most were more than willing to give me a 800.00 bill for what would not have been 2 months' worth of driving before another patch fix. His prices are the best. Most repairs are quick. He will even come to you for minor repairs if the car isn't running for a minimal fee. As the economy worsens, this is the mechanic shop you need. If America is moving towards being similar to Cuba with most of us maintaining and driving our older cars, Lenny with Ace auto is the mechanic you need.

Have been Going to Mr. Lenny since 2016. Nothing beats an honest mechanic and that's what he his. Great service and fair prices. If it's not his specialty he'll refer you to another service person just as reputable and honest. Love this place. Heading there today so he can shake his finger at me about my oil level😊

We have been going to ACE for many years= since he was a mobile mechanic.The owner Lenny is a very caring person. He is very honest, polite, and respectful. There have been many times he has helped us out during difficult times for us. This is one man who needs to be your family mobile mechanic. Come meet your new uncle Lenny. He warms up very quickly to new family. What work has he done for us? You name it. We had three cars ranging from a 1987 GMC old truck to a 2001 old jeep in 2016. Our son was in college and Lenny kept our cars and lives running smoothly. We have now modernized our cars but Lenny"s shop is the first place will go to in our times of need. So do get to know uncle Lenny.

I took my car to Mr Lenny 2 times. My issue was engine light on. The first he stated he reset the sensor. He told me to drive the car for 14 to 30 miles. If light comes back on to bring it back. The engine light did not come back on. The refuse to start on first try. I have trying and trying. So I took it back and he said it’s starting now. He doesn’t know what to fix on it. He told me I have to wait until the car is not starting at all. Which means I have to get strained somewhere before he can say what need to be repaired. So, no I will not go back to Mr Lenny. Maybe he doesn’t have machine to test my car. He didn’t help me at all.
