Had the guys at Cousin Auto fix my car and they were incredible! They worked and worked until everything was completely fixed, took their time with it, and explained every single detail to me, even showing me exactly what was wrong. I’m just thankful I found this shop. The owner, Yaya, was unbelievably nice, and the other gentleman who helped was just as great. I’m honestly thrilled to finally have a shop in Fort Worth I can trust with my car.

I do not recommend. Initially, I was quoted 300$ over the phone to replace my knock sensors. When I got there and they looked at the car, now it was 430$. We went ahead and went through with it because the owner and yaya said they could do a good job and get it done next day. We come back next day and they tell us they broke the purge valve, so we had to also buy the part and drop it off to them and the car wouldn’t be ready for another day now. We also bought the knock sensors ourselves for them to replace it to save them and us time. Afterwards the next day rolls around and they tell us the car is ready, took it on a test drive and seemed okay, but when we went to look/ examine the car, Clips and other parts on the car were broken, parts were not tightened down fully and there was no radiator fluid in the car anymore. ( I will post pictures of parts that were broken that were not before) Mind you my boyfriend is a mechanic but did not want to take on the job of doing the knock sensors so we had someone do it for us this time so we could relax but We ended up having to take the car to another mechanic to diagnose the car and tell us what we needed to fix now. I will be getting my money back and will not go here again. These people lack honesty, and integrity in their work and might want to think about new staffing. To be honest, I’m afraid that the knock sensors might not have been replaced correctly but that is still to be found out.

I went in for an alignment and to be honest I didn’t like the experience as a customer… they have beer cans/boxes everywhere and the guys are constantly lighting up a cigarette or puffing on their vapes… doesn’t seem professional at all… all for the exception of a white male with long hair that DOES seem so have some type of respect/social awareness… so props to that guy!👍

My issue began when I noticed that the screws on my wheel bearing were loose and one was missing. The first place we went for help was this shop, since the wheel had shifted& fallen as i pulled in. A mechanic there inspected it & said the entire wheel bearing needed to be replaced. He told us he would “do us a favor” by fixing it for $200 replacing with a used part and charging for labor. After going down from an initial $300 job for used parts & labor. Once the work was completed, I left to get cash to pay for the service. On my way, I immediately noticed something was wrong, my brakes began to stutter and the traction felt off. When I returned and asked the mechanic to take another look, he became very defensive, raised his voice, & blamed me, saying my truck “needed brake oil.” Instead of calmly inspecting the issue, he took my truck for a fast, reckless test drive, then returned and said there was nothing he could do. He continued to be disrespectful to the point that I was told to leave the property.I later contacted the owner, who was kind enough to meet with me & discuss what happened. During our conversation, we both agreed that the most likely issue was that the used part installed wasn’t compatible with my truck. However, the mechanic who performed the work , who was nearby during this discussion did not come over to review or explain his work. That lack of accountability made it difficult to understand what had gone wrong. When I brought up the idea of returning the part & receiving a refund, the owner said the part was “trash” and they didn’t want it back. This raised a serious concern, if the part was truly of no use to them, why was it offered & installed in the first place? We even questioned whether the part they handed back to us was actually the one removed from my truck, the part given to us was extremely corroded . During the discussion, the owner mentioned that moving forward, his crew would no longer use used parts, even if it meant charging customers more, because of the issues they encountered in this situation. However, he made it clear that we wouldn’t be the exception despite acknowledging that the used part may have caused the problem.I understand that perhaps the proper screws or parts may not have been available on hand, but if the worker had been more respectful & transparent, we could have explored possible options together instead of dismissed. At that point, the only offer on the table was that if I provided a new or used part myself, they would reinstall it for free. Unfortunately, after their demeanor, I no longer felt confident in the honesty or workmanship. I ended up purchasing a brand new wheel bearing with complete screws & sensor attachment from AutoZone that correctly fit my truck’s model & year for $150, & I took it to a different mechanic charged $80 for labor. The difference was immediate, the braking issue disappeared completely. The new mechanic inspected the previous work & found that the screws had been the wrong size & installed incorrectly. He also mentioned that the wheel bearing on the truck was likely the same one we came in with, which makes me believe that the first shop never replaced it at all & simply gave us another part they had lying around.I want to acknowledge that the owner did take time to meet with me & I appreciate his willingness to discuss what happened. However, I was deeply disappointed . When employees act defensively, disrespectfully, or dishonestly, it damages the reputation of the entire establishment regardless of the owner’s intentions. We were overcharged for incomplete and unsafe work & a defensive reaction suggests corners cut were disguised as genuine help.I would have been completely okay if we had met in the middle with a fair compromise because, but since that didn’t happen, I accepted the situation for what it was and moved on. Doing someone a “favor” should never come at the cost of honesty, safety, or quality.True professionalism is shown not just through words, but through integrity, accountability, and respect

Had a great experience with Yaya today. He was very patient when answering my many questions and thoroughly explained all my options. He worked quickly while I waited and also topped off my tires. Definitely happy with cost of labor and parts.
