Derek has been helping me out ever since Bavarian opened in Boerne. Back when I was still in high school, my BMW had a few issues and I always trusted them to take care of it. Every time, they did an excellent job and I never had any problems afterward. They’re extremely knowledgeable, especially when it comes to European cars, and you can tell they take pride in their work. On top of that, they’re genuinely great people. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality service.

I bought a used BMW X3 and almost immediately started having engine oil pressure issues. Took it to my local mechanic and he recommended going to dealership. At the dealership they said it needed a new engine. I was frantic as I thought I had a 4200 lb paperweight. Contacted Bavarian and spoke with Alfredo, who eased my anxiety and almost perfectly diagnosed issue. Got it repaired and it runs well. Alfredo was a God send as he walked me through the whole process and only did the repairs necessary.

The whole experience was great. Alfredo was upfront and very respectful and informative with what was needed on the BMW. I would not hesitate to recommend Bavarian Automotive with your import vehicle needs. We now have a local repair shop that can help us without the need to go to dealership.

I've always preferred the personal relationship that can come with having independent services and suppliers manage my auto and motorcycle needs. But it can be a "crap shoot" to find someone trustworthy. This was my first time to use Bavarian Auto Repair. I know it will not be my last. We had my wife's 2016 VW GTI towed in with the power steering dead and the dash warning lights looking like a Christmas tree. They received the vehicle the same day I called and spoke with Eric. There would be a half dozen calls over the next few days, he being my point of contact. Within 24 hours I received an electronic quote for the initial analysis via text and the option to move forward. The next day I received a comprehensive report including a video from the shop tec, Corey, who, with the car up on the lift pointed out in detail the issues, and the unfortunate news that the replacement part was pricey...nearly $5,000 dollars! Though the news was unexpected, I couldn't help but be impressed with the video presentation from their shop. I went online to see if I could seek out an alternative. It appeared that there were options and nearly half the price. I conversed with Eric, and this is where Bavarian won me over. Together on the phone, we crossed referenced my online findings with various part numbers. Eric was beginning to have doubts with his findings and promised to get back to me. He did the deep dig calling around until he discovered that my vehicle was a less common "all-wheel drive" model, a description that was not detailed in my online research, thus the higher price he was quoted from his supplier. Eric took the time to do the research, to satisfy his personal questioning of the quote he was initially provided. But equally important to him and Bavarian, was to satisfy my doubt. Throughout this process, (several phone calls) the man was a gentleman, patient and focused on doing what was right. I picked up the car the afternoon before Thanksgiving, had a great chat with several of the techs and it is apparent that they love their job and where they work. The manager, Derek, was equally gracious and genuinely engaging. In a field known to be rife with questionable ethics, it is comforting to find a shop of this caliber.
