Express Lube and Inspection

I’m at a loss for words! I am beyond grateful for Mr. Gilbert Garza in Baytown. I felt like Mr Garza was an angel. I bought an Accord 2023 from what was then Russel Smith Honda and now Doggett Honda. I’ve had the worst experience with them. Yesterday I rolled my window down and it would not come back up. I had to use my hands to raise it up. I went to the Honda dealership and they told me it would be 1500 dollars to fix because the window regulator had to be replaced. I called my brother about it and he told me about Mr. Gilbert and told me he would take care of me and how well of a job he does. I drove from Pearland to Baytown and it was worth every minute. Mr Ginert was courteous and kind. He looked at the car and told me it wasn’t the regulator. He showed me exactly what the problem was, provided immediate attention to my vehicle and fixed it. The total was 178.00. I was sooooooo grateful for his HONESTY first and foremost! He didn’t try to take advantage because I’m a woman. He has a moral compass to do right by his customers. He definitely has a new client. I will bring all of my work to him. Today it is soooo hard to find folks with a conscious and integrity. Thank you Gilbert Garza. You reminded me today that there is still decent people out here in this world! God bless you.

Potentially deceptive practices! I went in due to a gas smell and a long start. The manager showed me an image of an observable leakage from my gas tank. He quoted $2167 "if" he had to replace the tank. After he did a complete diagnostic (pulled the tank out), he stated it was the fuel pump modular assembly. He quoted $1829 and a three-day wait. More concerned about the wait, I asked for time to contact other shops regarding parts and costs. I contacted two other mechanic shops (Kia and Ken's) and was quoted less than $1400 by each. My inquiries/calls took less than an hour. When I communicated taking it elsewhere, he stated he found it was really the fuel pump gasket. In the end, I paid under $600. I was there from 8:30 to 12:30 pm for a gasket and to ensure I was not being deceived. I am unsure if I was intentionally being deceived, if it was a mistake, or if he patched it up because I declined the repair.

Gilbert and his staff do an excellent job. They deliver top tier service at fair and competitive prices. Front desk staff always has a smile and a kind word. The estimate of both cost and time to return vehicle are always spot on! I have used other vehicle service companies including the actual Jeep dealership in Baytown… and I won’t be going anywhere but this location in the future.

Today, I took my vehicle to have an inspection of the front suspension and steering system and determined if they could do an alignment. Well, they checked it and called to inform me that everything looked good and that they could do the alignment; which they did. So, what's the big deal? Well, I had taken my vehicle 2 weeks earlier to another mechanic I trusted who told me the same thing. These guys didn't try to sell me other services, didn't lie about the condition of the vehicle, or charged me a very decent price. So to the folks at Express, thank you for your professionalism and honesty. You got my business.
