Automotive Care Specialists

I went in to automotive care specialists today (4/4/2026) to ask if I could get a ballpark idea on what the cost to have 5 wheel studs replaced on one wheel. The secretary walked to shop came back in tried saying the stud and the wheel hub would need to be replaced. To which I replied thats a lie. She walked me out to the "mechanic" where he proceeded to say the same thing. What they didn't know is I went to school for automotive tech and I had already replaced just the studs. I just wanted an idea as for how much to charge. So women especially beware of this place. They will lie just to get deeped into your pocket book!!! Very disheartening.

I’m giving two stars simply because I never even got to get the information I called for. I called on a Monday and was told I’d receive a call back. I did not which isn’t a big deal. It’s a business it happens more frequently than not, however when I called back I wasn’t even given any other response other than “we’re extremely busy I don’t think we’re going to be able to get to you soon”. Two stars for not even giving me a chance to give you my business or even providing a quote or info on how to obtain said quote. Maybe in the future I’ll be able to give a better review but for now I’ll go where my business is at least considered.

Went in to make appointment to get a/c looked at. They said they could take care of it that day. They took me home and came back several hours later to pick me up when it was ready. A/c is blowing cold.

My A/C quit blowing cold on my way home from work, pulled into Automotive Care Specialist with no appointment. Went into their office and was met by a very nice lady named Kim, she got a mechanic to check my a/c out with no wait at all. They were very honest told me what the problem was and how much it would cost in less than 30 minutes. They were ready to do the fix right then and even offered me a ride if I wanted to leave it. I told them I would bring it back the next morning and they said they would get right on it. I was so impressed with them I had them take care of some maintenance items that needed to be done also (power steering fluid flush/change, transmission fluid flush/change and filter, front and rear differential oil service) Very impressed at how fast they got everything done considering they had to pull my whole dash out to change evaporator coil for a/c. If you need any work done on your vehicle go here, you will be satisfied. Kim will take care of you, she stays in touch and let's you know how everything is going.

I recently brought my truck to Automotive Care Specialists in Baytown. I did not have an appointment, but they were able to not only fit me in to check out the problem, but they were also able to fix it right there (bad timing belt and idlers). The mechanic was kind enough to take pictures on his phone of the problem and show me. He also took the time to take care of a few other minor problems with my truck free of charge. The receptionist was very polite and made sure I was comfortable while I waited. I am new to Texas so everyone was very friendly in giving suggestions about the area. The price was reasonable and the wait time was only the time it took for them to make the repair, my truck did not sit without being looked at or worked on for more than the 5 minutes it took me to check in. Would definitely recommend highly!!
