Auto Electric Company

Had a fuel pump replaced by them a few months back. It started failing under warranty so I brought it in for them to take a look at it. It’s hard to know whether they did shotty work and that’s why the pump failed or if the part was bad. My first visit after diagnosing the issue and getting my vehicle back, a tech left their keys in my car and I had to meet him at 8:30 at night to return his keys he was very apologetic and offered me a discount on the service of the fuel pump. I also dealt with a very grumpy and rude woman at reception. Fortunately, her attitude seems to have improved since my last visit. My main complaint is that both times I’ve come to auto electric they seem to be completely overbooked and I’m concerned that they are rushed to complete the work theyve agreed to. This time they’ve had my car for 5 days. Each day I’ve been the one to reach out to them for updates several hours past the agreed upon pick up time. As a manager myself, I know the importance of making something right a priority, I also understand supply chain issues. However, I do not feel that this repair was made a priority (maybe because it was still under warranty.) I had another shop look ant my car before diagnosing it as the fuel pump. That shop had ordered and returned the part needed before auto electric placed an order for the replacement part - after having my vehicle for 3 days. Only reason they are not getting one star is because I appreciate that they were honest enough to make right on their mistake - a rarity in the auto repair world. But due to the lack of communication and being overbooked I will not come back to this location if I can help it. I think it’s also important to note that I paid $1100 for the initial work while another auto repair shop quoted me $840 for the same fuel pump replacement plus, fixing an oil leak and changing spark plugs. If you are considering getting work done by them I would strongly suggest shopping around for a better price and choosing somewhere that isn’t overbooked, can keep up with appointment times, and has better communication regarding the status of the repairs.

The receptionist was very rude to both me and my husband the few times we had to call here. Each time I call, she picks up the phone and hangs it up. I have to call back and she just says “hello? Yes??” No greeting at all with the company name, I had to make sure I was calling the right place. At one point she even put the phone off the hook and I got a busy tone for over an hour of trying to call. Her attitude is unreal. She also failed to go over the costs when we made the appointment (like hourly diagnostic rate, the process, etc) when we asked her to, so we were met with a very hefty bill and no explanation regarding it until I spoke with someone else. The male mechanic (maybe the owner?) that I spoke with was very nice and friendly though and helped to work out a miscommunication (aka failure of communication from the receptionist). I hate to leave a negative review especially since he was so kind and understanding, but the experience was unfortunately hindered due to the rude front office employee.

Wow, this company is a great find. Reasonable pricing and excellent, capable service. We had been pulling our hair out trying to repair a problem with our vintage SUV. Two mechanics and a dealership sent us in three different directions, none of which worked. Took the car into Auto Electric and they diagnosed/found the issue and fixed in under 3 hours. I just wish we had known of them sooner. Would have save us hundreds of dollars. A great experience in every respect.

Excellent Service - the quality of service was outstanding. I took my car to the dealership first. That was a waste. Auto Electric figured it out immediately.
