Steering dominates the complaint picture for the Acura Integra — and not by a small margin. Of the 154 complaint occurrences NHTSA logged against the 2023 model year, the large majority describe the steering wheel sticking at high speeds, a problem reported roughly 100 times on its own. Owners also describe intermittent power steering issues, jerkiness and notching in the wheel, and overcorrection, each at lower volume. The most serious entries are a small cluster of four reports of steering lock-up during turns, the lone safety-severity problem on the 2023 sheet.

The 2024 model year shows the same signature at lower volume: 53 total occurrences, led again by the steering wheel sticking at highway speeds (about 30 reports), alongside a batch of electrical system complaints (21) and a couple of reports of an unreliable forward collision avoidance system. NHTSA recall campaign 24V744 applies to both the 2023 and 2024 model years, so any used example should be checked for completed recall work before money changes hands.

For a buyer, the takeaway is narrow and testable. On the test drive, pay close attention to how the wheel feels at highway speed — sticking, notchiness, or a wheel that resists small corrections is exactly what owners have reported. Ask the seller for documentation that campaign 24V744 was performed, and have a dealer run the VIN for anything still open.

Between the two years, 2024's totals are notably lower, but that is partly a function of time on the road. Complaint counts reflect what owners chose to file with NHTSA, not measured failure rates, and newer cars simply haven't had as long to accumulate reports. A pre-purchase inspection and a documented service history will tell you more about the specific car in front of you than the model year on its title.
