Legacy Kia of West Mifflin Service Center

Went for 40k service. Service advise (Meaghan) informed me of price, what’s included, and how long it should take. Once the service started, she kept informed of anything the technicians recommended that I add to service (brake pads and rotors on rear). She provided the cost, extra time required, and that the parts were on site. Time estimate was accurate and car continues to run great.

Dealt with a very frustrating situation regarding recalls and communication. No one was able to answer the phone in service, my simple question about repairing my USB Port went unanswered, and I finally was told my car was “all good” by the service manager and the cashier and it wasn’t until I looked at the invoice that I noticed that 3/4 of the recalls were not performed. And no one told me, explained the process, or even mentioned that the recalls were not done on my car. They took my appointment knowing why I was coming in and if parts were not in stock, then my appointment should have been rescheduled prior to my arrival. Luckily, the recalls weren’t safety-specific, but still, I deserved to know that work had not been done. And we all deserve to talk to a human, not an AI answering service who doesn’t even respond to the texts it asks you send!

My recent service and recall appointment at Legacy Kia was handled professionally, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The work itself was completed well. My frustration is that I had to spend an additional $100 on Uber transportation round-trip while having recall work performed for an issue that was not my responsibility. It is also costly and inconvenient that recall services are only performed during the week, forcing many customers to miss work to have mandatory recall repairs completed. A shuttle service within a reasonable radius, such as 15 miles, would greatly improve the customer experience.

I went there for a tire rotation and oil change and they told me that I needed brakes as my brakes were at a 1and I would have to pay over $600 for rear brakes. I was talking on the phone to my cousin when the service manager came and told me this and she said "don't do it, my husband is a mechanic and he can put brakes on for you, much cheaper than that." I told them not to put brakes on at that point. When I got home, I looked at my service records from Jan.of this year, when I got my car inspected and they had on my service report that my brakes were at "5". I went back in March of 2026 for a computer update, and my service record during that visit had my brakes at a "7". I don't know how you can go from a "5" in January to a "7" a couple months later, to a "1" yet still 3 months later. Make that make sense. I purchase my brakes for my cousin's husband, who is a certified mechanic, to put on my car. He puts them on, and when finished, he say" you could have gone a little longer on those brakes, they were at a "3" and would pass inspection. I told him my inspection was in January, but,I was getting ready to go on a road trip and wanted my car to be right. After this experience with Legacy Kia, I don't think I can trust them to service my car any more. I drive a little distance, passing up a Kia dealership close to home to take my car where I purchased it from and I was very dissappointed in this last trip there.

Chad and team worked to make my first service appointment an overall positive experience. The Team was welcoming at check in and the technicians completed the work in less time than quoted. Plus, the car wash was a nice bonus!
