0/5 stars. I’m not one to write reviews but I took my car here for an annual inspection and I do not recommend going to W.L. Davison. To be fair, the work was fine but the price was extremely expensive for no reason. I am newer to the area and was looking to get an inspection done before the end of the month. If you decide to go here please understand that the price is going to be significantly more than other places. I strongly suggest going to any other place. If you do decide to go here at least ask for a quote so you know exactly what you are getting yourself in to. I was charged $215 for an inspection. $113 of that was listed as a “labor fee”. I asked if that was the standard rate and was told yes. They explained that they take all 4 wheels off the car, clean the brakes, etc. I did not ask for that to be done. My car runs great and after the appointment they told me everything looked great as well. Understand that they will charge for things you did not ask for and they will have insane rates. I have never been to a place that charges over $200 for a state inspection on a car that has absolutely nothing wrong with it. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Look at the other reviews and ask for a quote before you go if you absolutely have to go.

View on GoogleTerrible experience. Very poor quality of work, overpriced, and dishonest. I left my trailer here for an inspection. They claimed several repairs were “required,” but later admitted they didn’t actually need to be done, and that’s the only reason they gave me a “discount.” At first they tried to charge over $560, then suddenly reduced it to $290 after I said I’d go somewhere else. And they still wanted $180 for “diagnostics.” They also replaced the safety hooks with ones that didn’t even fit the original chain mounts. They just hung them on a random spot by hand, and now they drag against the road. I had to redo the whole thing myself. This place feels like a scam. Avoid.

I'm new to the area and went on a recommendation. I inquired with Pep Boys on standard cost of inspection. Was quoted around $50. Beware!
