As a graduate researcher living in Pitt, I've been needing an honest and reasonable mechanic because the dealerships give zero leeway and always super expensive. Brought my car here Monday June 29, 2026. Josh was getting ready to leave. Told me he would take a look in the morning. Tuesday came and Josh told me the issue and gave me a price. Work was done same day and I picked up my car that afternoon. Josh is really great explained everything and told me what needs replaced the sooner the better. Forgot to add Josh was nice enough to even give me a ride to the shelter I'm currently in because I had no one to call. Will definitely be coming here in the near future for all my needs. I met Justin Pons when he was being a Good Samaritan. In the middle of frigid temperatures before dawn, he waited outside the gym because my car headlights were left on and he didn’t want my car battery to die and leave me stranded. I think that action itself shows a lot about Justin’s character and the pride he takes in his car services. I have been going to Pons Auto Service ever since, and his kind, thoughtful, and meticulous service has kept my car running smoothly over the past four years. I have had very bad car service experiences before, and when I told Justin about that, he went the extra mile to ensure that he always provided the utmost detail, explanations of services rendered when I had questions, and timely updates. Honestly, his car shop has restored my ability to trust car guys again with the exemplary service that he has provided. I have full trust and faith in Justin that he will always provide the necessary car services without overcharging or “fixing” things that don’t need to be fixed. Justin goes the extra mile to not only get the job done right, but does so honestly and transparently. I really appreciate the work that he has put into my almost twenty-year-old vehicle and he has kept it in excellent shape since I have been coming here. After my car was sideswiped at the Bloomfield Post Office (a hit and run), I brought it in for a full inspection and diagnosis. From the very first phone call, Chris Pons went completely above and beyond. He took care of all the bodywork, thoroughly diagnosed the vehicle, and walked me through the entire breakdown step-by-step, making sure I understood everything. The work they did was phenomenal—the car has never run so smoothly! When I went to pick it up, Chris introduced me to his brother, Justin. It’s rare to find this level of honesty, professionalism, and care. I've definitely found my go-to shop, and I highly recommend them to all friends and family!
