I've been using Herky for about 10 years (recommended by two friends) for 2 vehicles. Recently had some engine and brake work done (car is 14 yrs). I have found them to always do quality work at reasonable prices. They give good estimates on when it will be done and are usually finished early. I especially appreciate they don't try to "upsell" services not needed (unlike dealerships used in the past). It's good to find a trusted mechanic.

Reasonably priced, very competent, and most importantly, as trustworthy and reliable an operation as I’ve seen. They explain what’s going on (thoroughly, honestly , understandably , and without over-sell); give accurate estimates; are great at communicating; and deliver the vehicle when they say they will.

View on Google1. Poor professionalism and dishonesty. (a) The staff failed to inform me that they damaged my windshield protection film during the inspection. I only discovered the damage myself. (b) When I pointed it out, the receptionist responded, “I don’t understand why you put the protection,” which not only revealed a lack of understanding of its purpose as a staff in auto service (heat and UV protection) but also came across as dismissive and inappropriate. This is a HARD NO for an attitude completely unacceptable for someone who has caused damage. The staff member’s remark showed neither responsibility nor basic customer respect. (c) This staff further claimed they had sent my vehicle elsewhere to remove the inspection sticker, which was later proven to be UNTRUE. 2. Incorrect information provided Instead of apologizing for the damage, the owner rather insisted the film had to be damaged to replace the inspection sticker (which I could have accepted if they had notified me or simply let me put the sticker on). He further claimed that windshield protection film is illegal in Pennsylvania. This is FALSE information—it is legal. Very disappointing experience as a new customer who trusted the high reviews and was looking for a quality of service with professionalism.
