I genuinely cannot recommend these guys enough. I bought a used car that broke down three times within a month of me buying it, and every time I had to bring it in, Bob + everyone else I worked with were really kind and patient. Ladies, they explain things without being condescending + always elaborated when I had specific questions. If I hadn't gotten my new car from a dealership that offers regular maintenance as a bonus, Bastone would have a customer for life.

Ever since I moved to Pittsburgh I’ve gone to this same auto shop for oil change, tire replacement and some other miscellaneous stuff. This time which will be my last time, I went in to get my brakes checked out so I waited 4 hours till they got to my car-which was fine-but, they then call and tell me nothing is wrong with the brakes but everything besides the catalytic converter in the exhaust system needs replaced cost estimated at 1,800$ and the cherry on the cake was being charged 79$ for getting my car looked at. At first I was really upset then I decided to call around for some other options and well it wasn’t to hard to find somewhere a quarter of the price cheaper. And the exact service I was told needed done for 1,800$ is actually a repair that should only be around 400 to 500$ to repair and I made an appointment with another auto shop to do that. Being told that I need to have almost 2,000$ worth of work done then being handed a 80$ receipt for getting my car looked is never anything I’ve ever experienced. This is my 4th used car I never had a shop charge me for taking a look at my car and I never had a shop try to screw me over on a price like this. Just felt like I needed to fully go into detail as well.

They are always honest, letting me know how I can get my vehicle fixed for the best price, even if it is not with their services. I recommend this shop highly!!

My daughter had her 2012 Outback serviced here on January 7th, 2025, to have her radiator replaced. They charged $616.21 to replace a $270 radiator that sells for $120 at NAPA. They also wanted to replace the battery for $300, which I declined, and it tested fine elsewhere. Also noted that the hood struts were bad, when they worked fine right before the car was dropped off. Finally, the shroud for the serpentine belt was missing after the radiator was replaced. I have a timestamped picture from when it was dropped off by AAA showing the hood struts operational and the belt shroud in place. It is almost impossible for both hood struts to fail unless someone forced the hood up, breaking the seals, and causing the gas charge to release. I just noticed this now when my daughter visited us this weekend - we are 4/12 hours away - and I serviced her vehicle. She had Bastone inspect her car last September with no issues. This incident makes me question their integrity and will not have her return again.
