Strother Brothers Auto Care

I'm not sure if I can offer a high enough review/recommendation. The team at Strother Brothers Auto Care are wonderful. Had my daughter's car serviced today, and everything was excellent. Great team, phenomenal service, and there new facility is awesome. Kevin, Matt and team, THANK YOU!

Updated: Very very expensive. See response to the owner at the bottom of this review. I needed new tires for my Miata and I was interested in Michelin A/S 4. The Strother Brothers shop qouted for me $260 per tire before mounting and balancing. The price in a variety of local shops through the Michelin website is $191.99 before mail-in rebate. TireRack.com also shows the same $191.99 with free shipping (check it out). This is a 35% markup compared with anyone else! Strother Brothers would not mount and balance the same tires if I purchased them elsewhere, citing a bogus "liability issues". Never heard that one before. I switched snow tires for summer sports tires for years, in quite a few different places, with no issues (obviously, these were used tires). The Strother Brothers' businesses model is literally their business, but they would not earn my business. BTW, the qouted price for mounting and balancing would be within range (but not the cheapest), but only if I also purchased 35% overpriced tires from them. Response to the owner's response: 1. Not true: you qouted $260/tire alone. Mounting and balancing was a different line item on the quotation. To be 100% transparent, your qouted total was 35% more expensive than what I paid for, for the exact same service, in another privately own tire shop down the road. 2. You ignored the bogus claim about "liability issuses" and refusing to mount tires that I purchased otherwise. BTW, I always prefer privately owned businesses over chains, but they have to be reasonable.

Avoid this place at all costs. They charged $400 to a young girl for a very simple repair that involved removing a door panel and replacing a plastic door lock clip. After the work was completed, I noticed that one of the technicians had broken a plastic screw cover during the repair. When I brought it to the owner’s attention, he refused to fix it unless I paid an additional fee. There is little to no customer service at this shop. If an issue comes up after the repair, do not expect them to stand behind their work or help resolve the problem. The workmanship, professionalism, and integrity of this shop were extremely disappointing.

I came in for an oil change. I was floored by the inside. It was welcoming with coffee and other drinks available for free. The employees were professional and checked me right in. I was floored by how quick they took care of me. I will definitely be back. I encourage all who need work done on their vehicles to check them out.

This is an updated review: Sorry Kevin I went there when they first started out in Valencia and service was good. Made an appointment, sat there and they did the work, paid and left. Stopped going there when it would cost me $300 more for a cv joint and Goodyear and I would have had to leave it there. Goodyear had it done that day. Then I needed work on a condenser, Thought I'd give them another chance. They were $60 cheaper than Monro but that was because of membership discount. Then I needed a new condenser and had to wait a couple more days. Then I made an appointment for a check engine light. Told them the code They cancelled my appointment because apparently they don't do exhaust work. Well I made another appointment for a different car. Noisy ride and oil change. They cancelled this appointment as well. No waiting appointments past noon. I understand trying to diagnose the noisy ride but the oil change? That's ridiculous that someone can't wait for an oil change. This appointment was on a Friday. If they couldn't get to my oil change, they'd have my car all weekend. I have many coupons but that's it. I've had enough of this crap. Definitely will not be renewing my membership. I will also be rewriting all my reviews.
