Baierl Toyota Service Center

I was greeted and all my info was exchanged. The man at the desk was very courteous as well. My safety inspection was done in a reasonable amount of time. 1&1/2 hours as it was a busy day. I do have something to say about the waiting area. The television was too loud and the program was not appropriate (G rated) for mixed company. A renovation or cooking show would have been better suited. I like Baierl for my maintenance needs. Thank you for good service.

To be Clear, I think the team of Service Writers and Technicians at Baierl Toyota are good people who would give you the shirts off their backs if they could. The techs do great work at this specific location, even though they push unnecessary work onto their customers at every encounter to raise sales and earn additional revenue. Unfortunately, I am so appalled by the attached picture that I have to leave a 1 star review. This review is more of a PSA to anyone planning to have work done at this dealership now or in the future. I feel a need to let the public know about a new fee (Introduced sometime between March 2026 and June 2026) that is now charged with every credit card swipe at this location (Debit Cards are not included in this fee). Here's the deal: If you need to have work performed on your vehicle here... but happen to be a struggling single mom or dad, an elderly person on a very fixed income, or anyone else with limited funds and only a credit card to pay the bill until you get your next paycheck... you are now going to spend 2% MORE than the already high labor and parts costs that go with every dealership service invoice. This appears to be happening simply because Lithia Driveway's Contracts and Procurement folks do not know how to negotiate with America's Major Credit Card companies for a better rate structure. For anyone wondering... The CEO of Lithia Driveway (NYSE: LAD) makes $16-19 MILLION per year in total compensation. Instead of restructuring his business by performing "Reduction In Force" efforts (Layoffs) or finding other ways to cut costs throughout his company to optimize revenue streams in an order to have a healthier P&L Statement, he feels the need to punch every Lithia Driveway customer square in the mouth just to make Wall Street happier... so he gets more stock and higher bonuses. 🙄 I just had my wife's vehicle in for service yesterday at Baierl Toyota, and I declined $450.00 worth of unnecessary work that was offered to me because I would have had to pay another $9 in Credit Card Fees to have that work done. I declined the work on principal alone. These pictures showing the 2% Credit Card fee are PLASTERED all over every point of sale terminal in the Service/Parts area and at the front door. With gas prices being $4.50/gallon locally, groceries being higher than they've ever been, and life in general being too expensive for many... seeing these print outs made me feel sick to my stomach while waiting for my work to be completed. I can completely understand a small business charging a nominal credit card fee, such as a food truck vendor, farmer, or other small business that needs to charge that fee to make ends meet. However, when your dealership is owned by a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange, Lithia Driveway and every dealership it owns gets 0 sympathy from me when it comes to this. Lithia Driveway's Corporate/Executive Mommies and Daddies need to rethink this fee policy. It is not good for business and looks ULTRA SCUMMY to introduce at one of the worst times for the economy since COVID. Restructure your company and tighten your own belt, Mr. CEO, before you bend your customers over. Until this fee is eliminated, I am going to vote with my wallet and take my business elsewhere. The only way I will have any work done here moving forward is if it's warranty work or a service I have already paid for and is "No Charge" to me to have completed.

Always have a pleasant and helpful experience at Baierl and they don’t try to sell me on unnecessary repairs the way some service garages do. Josh was there on a Saturday; he is knowledgeable, friendly and kind and I remembered him from another dealership from 12 years ago!

Transmission not downshifting properly from 4 to 3 and from 3 to 2. Technician tested car by running it around the driveway, not on the road at speeds up 40 mph where problem exists. Diagnoses: Spend money on oil change. I asked for cost of transmission replacement. Ans: About $10,000. If I know oil change won't fix problem as I have had that done (I have a background in automotive/truck mechanics) why didn't the technician investigate further (or at least discuss the problem with me)? Oil change, although diagnosis of dirty fluid was correct, was obvious to get money out of me. All I wanted was the price of a new transmission for this visit. I was upset that that the technician was not a real mechanic that would be able to diagnose the real problem. I did get my price, though.

Just one of the reasons why I deal Baierl Toyota. I called in Mon. morning after returning from my camp over the weekend with an electrical system malfunction. The Service rep (Josh) told that he was full for day and ask me what day I wanted to come in and I explained the problem to him and asked if he could get me in that day and his response was that if I could get it down there this afternoon that he would see if he could work me in. Needless to say, he had the problem resolved in about 4 hrs. That is what I call service. thanks Josh!
