Costa Oil - 10 Minute Oil Change - Gibsonia

I visited Costa Oil using a Groupon voucher for a full synthetic oil change that also included free premium washer fluid and protectant. After the oil change was completed, I showed the coupon and asked whether the additional services were done. The technician said they were not, apologized, and asked me to open the hood again. Since I was seated inside the car, I could not see the work being done and trusted that the additional services were completed. However, after returning home, I checked the windshield washer reservoir and found it completely empty, indicating the washer fluid was not filled. I’m also not clear whether the “protectant” was applied, as no explanation was provided. Overall, the oil change itself was fine, but the additional services included in the Groupon were not properly completed, even after I specifically brought them to their attention. This comment refers to the same visit and same issue described in my earlier review. This is in response to the owner’s statement ending with “I hope this explanation suffices.” Unfortunately, the explanation does not suffice, so I’d like to clarify. My concern was not that the washer fluid was “not filled to the neck.” After returning home and checking, the windshield washer reservoir was essentially empty. During the visit, after the oil change was completed, I showed the Groupon coupon and asked whether the washer fluid and protectant included in the deal were done. I was told they were not, an apology was given, and I was asked to open the hood again. After that, I was told the additional services were completed. Since I was seated inside the car, I trusted that this was done. Regarding the explanation about winter conditions: winter washer fluid is specifically designed for cold temperatures (often rated well below 0°F). In the Pittsburgh area, vehicles commonly operate with full washer reservoirs during winter without freezing issues, so weather alone does not explain an empty reservoir. Additionally, there was no explanation of what “protectant” was applied, or confirmation that it was applied at all. The additional services included in the Groupon were not clearly or properly completed, even after being brought to attention on-site.

Great value and price. And very quick--under 10 minutes. Dominic has always been especially helpful, but also, all the guys do a great job providing a good service for the customer.

I recently had an oil change, and the three technicians who assisted me were outstanding. They exceeded my expectations and even helped me identify ways to save money on a future repair. Their pricing was fair and transparent, and the level of service made the trip well worth the distance. I would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest service.

Be careful people. A cheap oil change could result in poor skid plate replacement. I had my oil done on 11/14 @ 11am. This happened at 2pm. Not good Costa!!!!! Thankfully Valvoline on McKnight got me square. Never again at this location.
