Ruth’s Machine Shop did an unbelievable job on our Caterpillar C6.4 rebuild. Their attention to detail is second to none, and their knowledge of these engines is obvious from start to finish. They found multiple issues during the rebuild that would have guaranteed problems down the road if they hadn’t been caught things that other shops would have easily missed. The engine is now running beautifully, better than expected. Just as impressive as the final result was the support before, during, and after the job. Communication was clear, honest, and thorough the entire time. I worked directly with John, who I’ve trusted in the past for counterboring CAT engines and once again he proved why that trust is well placed. Simply put, I don’t have faith in any other machine shop, these guys truly know what they’re doing. If you’re looking for a machine shop that does things the right way and stands behind their work, Ruth’s Machine Shop is top notch. I Highly recommended

I have been working on a 1986 Mercury Force 125hp outboard motor for a year and have been having issues with disassemblying the tilt/trim assembly. Nothing I did worked. I called Rutt's Machine Shop and they said they would take a look at it. March 19, 2025 I went to the shop and met the owner who took me into the shop and worked on getting the stuck pin out of the assembly that holds the shock and trim shock in place. Using a press he finally got it out. Afterwards he cleaned up the pin and continued to redie the threads. He went above and beyond what I was asking and charged me a reasonable price. I reccomend Rutt's Machine shop for small jobs. I will be going back again if I run into other issues with the refurbishment of my boat.

This van has a huge engine in the rear that runs all our carpet cleaning equipment. Its not something just anyone can work on we were refered to Rutt's in our time of crisis and they got us through it with flying colors. They are very professional, they take huge pride in their work, they provide the highest quality service and every person we delt with was just awesome. We will never take our van to anyone else.
