We’ve used McElroy’s for over 20 years, and the actual body work is still very good. Unfortunately, customer service/management has changed through the years. We had a lifetime paint warranty from work done in 2008. When the clear coat failed, and it started to chip, there was a lot of pushback before they agreed to fix it. It’s still not fixed correctly. It was a very expensive custom paint job, I just don’t care to fight with them anymore. More recently, after a not-at-fault accident where the other insurance accepted liability, we brought our car here again. Communication was poor, and the way things were documented seemed to work against us and side with the insurance company. We were even asked repeatedly what we wanted to pay out-of-pocket for damage from an accident that wasn’t our fault. I felt like McElroys was trying to get extra money out of us. Once again, it’s not fixed. The technicians do solid work, but management and customer advocacy are not what they used to be. Disappointing given our long history here.

I called and someone named Chris answered. I had a few questions as I was trying to assist a friend. They had the most condescending attitude I had ever heard. Just simply rude for no reason. They really shouldn’t be answering customer calls. I ended the call and went down the road.
