I have used Achbach for repairs from minor to major since 2008. They are meticulous and do beautiful work! Got my car back yesterday. It was a small repair but I can't stop looking at it! Thanks so much!

Let’s start with this. I have had several cars repaired over the years with little to no issues or complaints from the repairs. Dan and staff have went over the top in the past to get my cars back to precrash condition. Was in an accident hit in the rear in my pickup truck. From visual standpoint did not look too bad but need repair to rear of the truck. Schedule truck in for repair. Get the rental everything seem as smooth and normal as always. Well three months later still in rental and no real time when it my be finished (insurance, parts issues) ok whatever I’m not paying for the rental and they always did quality work so let them do their thing. So several weeks later I get my truck back as usual looks to be back to precrash condition. Over the next couple of weeks started noticing that things were off alignment was off , bed of truck touching the cab. Alignment was asked about when dropped off. Questioned the alignment was an insurance would not approve issue so not there fault. So it was time for oil change and service. So I had it aligned. (Also for context this truck was babied ) Bc it was pulling to the passenger side. After alignment it was pulling to the driver side. At this point I questioned the frame being bent. So went back to Dan and explained my concern. They said they didn’t do the alignment and I said I know. Is there anyway to check the frame and was told I would have to get approval from the insurance company. Ok no problem insurance company declined the check. So at this point I’m pissed not at the shop. Just the whole process. So truck was parked for week. So started pulling truck specks and looking to see any additional damage that may have been overlooked. Discovered washer s in the bumper bracket and a quick measurement of center wheel to center wheel that the rear wheel on one side was off1 1/2 inch and other side was off by 1/2 inch. Again went to see Dan and explained my concerns. With all the issues. They took the truck back and had the truck for a month and said they had made adjustments. Looked better but still not right. And the washers were still there between bracket and bumper was told it was standard practice to shim parts out. Mind you the parts replaced are new oem dodge parts per my insurance policy. So I explained my concerns about the safety of the bumper and shims and that it was not a safe repair Asked why in the original estimate that they did not look at the frame for damage as a possibility. And the response was it was not worth there time. At this point I’m overly frustrated with all of it shop and insurance company. After finally getting an insurance rep on the phone and explaining the situation. They finally approved the frame to be checked at a frame shop that I chose to take it too Was found to be 10mm out and 11mm up. All tho Dan and his shop have done great work in the past. Probably will not return For context the blue car is to show the impact in the accident Note this is from 2022

I’ve used Achbach several times over the last 25 years or so and every single time our cars were repaired perfectly. They are also extremely help getting your insurer to pay what it actually costs to repair your car. Outstanding family business, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Make sure you are not out of warranty. It's only covered 5 yrs. Also, make sure to go to insurance recommending repair shops. My repairs were out of the warranty ($14,000) water leaking from where they repaired 7 years ago. 😢
