Definitely one of the worst experiences I have ever had when it comes to big truck repair shops. It's crazy how a simple, "one-week" repair can turn into an entire month of downtime, 10s of $1000s in revenue lost and a fat, five-figure repair bill. The communication was terrible, as well. In order to get an update on the repair, I would have to call in or else I would not hear from anybody for days. To boot, when I finally picked up my truck and did my inspection, my hood hold-open device was broken and I was not able to close my hood. I have never had a problem with this device in all the years that I have had my truck, now all-of-a-sudden it does not work. The mechanic came out and all he had to say was that "these break all of the time", and wrapped a zip tie around it. He informed me that to have it fixed properly, it would cost an extra $600.00. The only reason I did not press the issue was because I was already down for a month and I did not want to be stuck for another week to just to fix a hood hold-open device. Frankly, I was just ready to get out of there. Also, truckers, keep in mind that this location is closed on weekends. So that is an automatic two days that you will be down right there. I pray that I don't break down in this area again. I would rather pay to have my truck towed 1000 miles to a different location than to turn my truck in to this shop again.
