I was looking for a good used work car and came across Firehouse Auto. Found a great car at a more than fair price! I have dealt with car dealers for both new and used vehicles for many years and I have to say that Rob by far has been the Best dealer I have dealt with! Other dealers could learn quite a lot about true professionalism and integrity from him and his staff. Thank you so much Rob! God bless all of you!
View on GoogleWeird experience. I came because reviews said it was a decent place to shop and that they worked with people to fix things if they went wrong after purchase. Anyways I went there for a test drive of a 2013 Honda civic last week. I noticed a few issues right away...owner offered to take some off of list price and offered an estimate to fix issue to bring price back up to list price.( thats cool, whatever. I get it we gotta feed our families) I said id like to work with him on that and agreed to that..however I had a pre purchase inspection ( which i paid money for) where my mechanic stated that he believed that the dash cluster had been replaced and noted several other things..advised me not to buy, potentially because the odometer milage didnt match the title. I called him and asked if he could get it updated for me so I could buy the car and he said...to the best of my understanding..that carmax would fix the title for me if I bought the car and get it out to me in 30 days because thats the law..and that I better hurry if I want it because hes had alot of interest in it this week...all this after him telling me before I left the first day there for test drive that he doesnt do high pressure sales..it was not the experience that I expected based on reviews. He floated between being seemingly helpful and unhelpful. I spent time and money to potentially spend more money with him and form a working business relationship and he kinda blew me off. I dont think its alot to ask , personally, to have a title match the odometer even if it may have been a clerical issue or whatever the ultimate reason behind it was. He also wanted me to give a down payment not just to hold the car...but to hold the price for me till the following Saturday...tomorrow..just to hold the price...even though we already discussed a couple things with the vehicle that needed addressed. Response: maybe dont title hop and own your own vehicles instead of leaving them titled in other dealers names so you dont have to pay taxes. About the 9 pm thing. I didnt know it was a personal number. I thought it was a text able business number that I would get a response from in the morning. Either way. Its not too much to expect a vehicle to be titled correctly BEFORE purchase. All while youre telling me ill miss out if I dont move on it anyway. Bad money.
