Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Range/Performance

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the engine oil pressure sensor to ensure oil pressure is within expected parameters for the current engine speed and load. Code P0521 is set when the PCM detects that the signal from the oil pressure sensor is out of the expected range or its performance is irrational compared to expected values.
