EGR Flow Malfunction

The P0400 code indicates that the engine control module (ECM) has detected an improper amount of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) flow into the intake manifold. The ECM sets this code when the expected change in manifold absolute pressure (MAP) or EGR temperature does not occur when the EGR valve is commanded open.

How urgent is P0400?
