I can’t say enough good things about Brookside Auto. I recently went to my local dealership for routine maintenance and an inspection, and was told I needed front brakes and calipers and that my SUV would not pass. They removed my valid inspection sticker and failed to provide the required 10‑day temporary sticker, which is mandated under NYS law. They then quoted me over $2,000 in repairs. After seeing countless recommendations on the Town Facebook page, I brought my SUV to Brookside Auto for a second opinion. I explained the situation, dropped off my vehicle, and they took it from there. Long story short: the dealership was trying to take advantage of me. My brakes were low, but nowhere near a safety failure. Brookside even found a separate safety issue the dealership completely missed, thankfully. Repairs were completed quickly, professionally, and for a fraction of the price. It’s incredibly hard to find an honest shop these days, but Brookside Auto proved that good people still exist. They’ve earned my business going forward. For context, I’ve purchased all my vehicles from Hudson Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Newburgh and have had them serviced there since I was 16 years old. I’m 43 now, and I have never been treated the way I was during this recent visit. Brookside Auto restored my trust in what real service looks like.

My wife and I were referred to this business by our daughter-in-law, whose family has been using them for many years and we are very glad that she passed on the information to us. My wife went to them on Monday for an evaluation and estimate and they Checkered her car and told her to come back and drop off her car in 2 days. We went back as instructed and dropped off the car. Approximately 4 hours later we received a phone call that our car was done and ready for pick up. Unfortunately we all need a mechanic once in a while and there are some ruthless ones out there, this place is quite the opposite. We were greeted by everyone there and the car was fixed extremely moderately priced, Phenomenal work done, Courteous and professional staff. This is my new auto mechanic.

I’ve been a proud customer of Brookside for almost 6 years now! Billy and his crew are always amazing. Sam at the front desk is also always kind and helpful on the phone. Going above and beyond for their customers, friendly and respectful they’re my favorite! Always within ear shot to at bare minimum give you an idea of what could be going on in a pinch. As a young woman I have never felt blindsided as Billy always explains what exactly is going on and what he is doing to fix it, that treatment is hard to find at car shops. Their pricing is exactly fair, also usually such a quick turn around to get your car back :)

FANTASTIC! Had a slight car emergency on Sunday, so I called mid-day Monday and not only were they accommodating to get my car looked at, but it was fixed within 30 min. Bill and the rest of the staff could not have been nicer, more relaxed and professional & I never felt like I was being taken advantage of, by any means. I will 1000% be taking all my car needs to these folks and recommending them to all I know. Awesome experience.
