The best auto mechanic shop in the area! Jackie is awesome, Allie, Ricky, Marcos the whole team. They've been doing it for years, and I've been going for years. Skilled and honest service. Personalized service. Great at diagnostics. Clean and organized shop. Recently brought my car in for several maintenance items half of which they evaluated and said were not necessary (I'm perhaps a bit too OCD about my cars). Other shops would have done the work and billed whether necessary or not. I have my daily cars serviced here and I also have trusted them with several classic cars!

I've been a loyal customer of Hallett Place Auto for 15 years, and this is my first time writing an online review—because they truly deserve it. I know that most 5-star reviews can sound repetitive, but Jackie, Allie, Ricky, Marcos, and the rest of the crew at Hallett Place Auto are exceptional. Calling myself a 'customer' doesn’t quite capture the experience, as they treat you like family from the moment you walk in. Their friendliness, kindness, and dedication make them a cornerstone of the Suffern community. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Absolutely unreal. I dropped off my car because I suspected transmission issues because it was having issues switching gears while driving. My car was there for 48 hours and they ended up doing a transmission flush. This cost over 400 dollars. I get my car back and it STILL has the same issue. I bring it right back and tell them they didn't actually fix anything. Suddenly, within a few hours, they come to the conclusion it was actually an engine oil issue and charge me a simply 88 dollars to remedy. So how, exactly, in 48 hours did they not discover this relatively simply issue and charge me 400 dollars for a service my car didn't need? I think you all know why. Absolutely robbed by these people. Never going there again and not recommended. UPDATE 9/2/2024- Guess what? My car is STILL doing that even though they said the oil change would fix it. So I spent just under 500 dollars at this place for them to do nothing to actually fix my car.

Had a minor car problem while on a road trip and quickly found Hallett place on Google. Stopped by to see if they could help and they were incredibly accommodating. We were able to leave our car for the weekend and grab a rental, but they were helpful and kind, as well as very fairly priced. Would highly recommend coming here!!

They went above and beyond for my issues with my truck. They replaced my radiator and flushed fluids for a very reasonable price all while being trustworthy and honest. They expedited the process knowing we needed the vehicle back in a timely manner. They gave updates constantly. It's extremely difficult to find an honest and reliable mechanic/team that you feel comfortable with. After 5 years of living in the area I'm very happy to know I have a place to go to now. They have been around for a long time and it obviously shows why. Thank you guys! Jeremy
