On a hot Friday of a holiday weekend we blew out a camper tire on a New York State. Thruway made it to the Selkirk exit so I started looking for tire stores, knowing that these big box stores might not deal with a trailer tire and I prefer to deal with a small business. I called Shodack he had our tire in stock got me back on the road at a fair price two thumbs up. Support your local small business such as this. If anybody knows Joe who lives by the Selkirk exit, he’s one of the nicest guys you have in town came across the street with a jack and gave us a hand

John is my hero! He went above and beyond and was able to turn a horrible experience into an easy fix! The service provided by Schodack Tire is proof that we should be supporting local businesses and not the greedy corporate ones! There’s no way I would’ve received the same type of care, service and attention! I truly appreciate John and look forward to giving them my future business!
View on GoogleTried Schodack Tire yesterday for the first time. I’m very picky when having anyone do anything on my vehicles. Had them mount, install new valve stems, and balance 4 tires that I brought with me. John and his employee (didn’t catch his name) were very knowledgeable and friendly and were able to install the tires on the spot as I waited. I was shocked and impressed that he knew/cared enough to line up the yellow dots on the tires with the valve stems. (If you’re not familiar with the dots and what they’re for, they’re put there by the tire manufacturer to indicate the lightest spot in the tire. This is to be lined up with the valve stem which is the heaviest spot on the wheel. This mitigates the need for excessive wheel weights when balancing.) John knew to line these up and in doing so, only required a small amount of weights to properly balance them. I’ve found it’s very rare to find a tire shop that actually takes the time to do this. And really it doesn’t take extra time, just attention to detail and pride in your work. The price was extremely reasonable. I won’t post due to prices constantly changing and there’s a chance prices fluctuate by the time you’re reading this review. But they were by far the cheapest I’ve paid to have tires mounted in many years, although I would have been happy to pay more considering the excellent job they did. Thanks, John, for the awesome service and attention to detail. It didn’t go unnoticed and I will be back, as well as recommending you to anyone who needs tires or tire service. I’ve found my new tire shop to replace Thoma tire now that they’re gone.
