Brake issues can always be super expensive but are also incredibly important too take care of for everybody's safety.. luckily, this was a simple single point breach of the brake line and was easily repaired. However, finding a trustworthy IN/OUT auto mechanic is not as easy as it sounds. We found that Polmanteer's pricing was a little better than industry standard for three repairs needed to keep our vehicle safe and fully functional. Polmanteer's is that place!

I wanted to share my recent experience with Polmanteer Auto Service in Penn Yan so others can make their own informed decisions. I brought my 2024 Mazda in because the brakes had started squeaking. With less than 30,000 miles on the vehicle, I expected I would likely need new brake pads. At no point was I informed that additional work would be performed. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was presented with a bill for $457. I was then told that the rotors had also been replaced. This came as a complete surprise, as I was never contacted for approval before the work was completed. My husband asked to see the old rotors, but we were told they had already been disposed of and were no longer available. We were understandably frustrated because we had no opportunity to inspect the parts that were replaced. The front desk employee was kind, professional, and apologetic throughout the entire situation. She even offered a 10% discount in an attempt to address our concerns. This post is not directed at her. What concerns me most is what happened afterward. My husband called multiple times, stopped in several times, left his contact information, and repeatedly requested a conversation with the owner. To date, no one has returned his calls or contacted us to discuss the issue. I paid the bill because I needed my vehicle back, but the lack of communication, the failure to obtain approval before performing additional work, and the refusal to address our concerns afterward left a very negative impression. I’m sharing this experience so others know what happened and can decide for themselves whether they want to do business there.

Professional and informative crew. Dealing with fleet vehicles can prove difficult, but they handled everything with ease. Gave me the feeling of confidence with any future work I will bring here, for both fleet and personal vehicle.

Dropped my truck off for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment, they noticed my front wheel/hub was worn and had side to side play....Had to replace a front hub/wheel bearing assembly. Turned out to be an expensive day but it needed to be done. Great service/maintenance center.

I was able to get an appointment quickly for a concerning noise underneath my car. They identified the problem, explained the problem and cost and fixed it while I waited. I will definitely be a returning customer.
