Always a pleasure doing business with Harvey from Tomar. I wouldn't think of bringing my car anywhere else. Harvey is an honest mechanic, which can be hard to find. He'll never tell you that your car needs something that it really doesn't, which for a woman is great, can't tell you how many times in the past mechanics have told me my car needs expensive repairs that it didn't really need. If you looking for a great and honest company to do business with Tomar Automotive is it. You'll be in good hands with Harvey.

I discovered this place after I had a flat and it was the closest place, right up the road from home. Been going there ever since for repairs and maintenance. I find Harvey to be honest and fair, really knowing his stuff, and I have also seen him willing to help out with with a tire emergency at a half-hour before closing time on a Saturday. Harvey & Tomar Automotive are the real deal and I’m happy to support a local business that provides excellent value and service 😊. I definitely appreciate finding a shop like Tomar Automotive for my car maintenance and repair needs.

No one loves having to find a new mechanic last minute. My car was having issues today for the first time since we bought our house in Patchogue Village 2 years ago. I picked Tomar initially because it is less than a mile from my house and it’s 4.9 star reviews on google. I’m so happy I went there and now have a go to spot right in our town to do my inspections, tires, oil changes, and anything that comes up with our family cars in the future. Tony and Harvey were both great though I mainly dealt with Tony. I called first and he was extremely pleasant on phone then in person it was the same. As a woman going to a mechanic, sometimes there is a worry that you will be ripped off or talked down to when you don’t know cars, neither of which I experienced. Luckily all I needed was an oil change and nothing else was wrong with my car. I felt they were honest, fair-priced, assisted me immediately, and treated me and my car with respect. They didn’t try to tell me other work I could get done, they respected what I needed to do and did it without issue. I normally drive 30 miles to a mechanic that I have been using for 15 years, but am happy to say I no longer have to do that after my experience at Tomar today. I am looking forward to having a new hometown mechanic that I can trust and be a loyal customer to!
