River Road Automotive

I accidentally ran my car into a ditch last night. The trooper arranged for a tow truck to pull me out. Vinny, with River Road Automotive, came out. It was like watching a physics lesson with him getting my car out. I can hardly believe it but there was not one scratch on my car! He obviously knew exactly what he was doing. Unfortunately my car would start but shut off immediately so he towed me to his shop. While there he scanned it for codes and it had 47 error codes! He said that can happen when a car has been on its side. He cleared the codes and my car ran beautifully the entire one hour trip home. He could have easily taken advantage of all the error codes, kept my car, and given me a huge repair bill. Instead he was honest, helpful, and friendly. I hope to never need a tow again but I would definitely stop by if I am in the area and need some repair work. Thanks for being one of my guardian angels!

Tina took my call after AAA was going to send someone from Otego for a dead battery in Norwich. Tina successfully initiated a 3-way call with AAA to ask them why they are telling customers that River Road Auto does not participate with AAA and she got me the help I need much quicker! Tina was an absolute gem and I love her professionalism and spiciness! Two guys came out and had the vehicle jumped in a very reasonable amount of time. They were friendly and the help was much appreciated. Would definitely do business with them again!

Horrible place! Dragged my car side ways across the parking lot and never released the transmission so my 4WD was in neutral to load it on the tow truck. Broke the internal steering wheel lock, ripped off my front bumper and scratched the hood and fender with the tow chain. Then they said "You can't prove any of what happened!" Turns out the parking lot I was in had security cameras and caught it all on tape! AND 3 people in the shopping area Videotaped the entire mess with their cell phones! AAA is going after this place! BEWARE if you want to keep your car in one piece! See the photos!

Give a one since I can’t give a zero. Car was perfect. All I needed was an inspection. They take my car in. I hear a boom. They come out said I need a new spring because it just broke. Can’t inspect until I fix it. Can’t make this up.

Horrible experience. AAA should revoke their contract for towing. The shear laziness and unwillingness to help and do their job. Over 3 hours in the middle of the night just to be told that they weren't coming to tow on a road that was easy access and handles logging trucks on a daily. Foolish excuses. Do not use them for towing needs as they are unprofessional and lazy.
