Valvoline Instant Oil Change

From the moment I drove my car into the shop, I was treated with kindness. I was not ignored like I didn't matter, I was spoken to like a lady and not treated like a lower life form just because I wasn't driving a luxury car. Every single member of the team treated me like I was an important customer. I had actually just left another shop where I made an appointment, showed up on time and was treated like crap when I arrived, sat in their showroom for over an hour before my car was even up to be moved into the shop. That was enough for me. I took my keys and left and this was a place where I previously had work done that cost me over $3,000! Why after paying that much money would I go back to a shop to be treated poorly...it wasn't even a dealership and I paid that price for service. Never again! The valvoline staff was amazing and they took the time to offer other services that they felt my car needed like an air filter and I appreciated it. I even asked about what other services do they offer as my car is an older vehicle and I need to keep it running. I truly enjoyed my experience at Valvoline and I'll be going back soon.

BISHRAM NEEDS TRAINING!!!!! I'm usually very happy with the service at this location however today was definitely an exception. I had an appointment for an oil change and inspection at 1:15 today. When I pulled up to the bay I was directed to, i noticed there was a car already there. I assumed Bishram was almost finished with that car and I'd be able to pull in within a short time. That's was not the case. I noticed that he was just beginning an oil change on that car. After waiting 20 min in my car, he came out again asked what I needed despite me telling another staff 20 before. Before I responded, I asked it he knew I had an appointment at 1:15 and he said yes. I asked if I had an appointment, why would he begin work on another at the same time. He said oil changes are first come, first serve. Right, but I had an appointment. No response and a blank look in his face. I was in the fence about getting the oil change bc I still had some miles to go but Bishram made my decision for me with his conduct. I told him I hoped he didn't make me late for a medical appointment. No response. The inspection seemed to be taking an unusual amount of time and when I looked, he was going back and forth with my car and doing anothe car's car's oil change.. what the heck!! There was another guy floating around but no idea what he was doing Finally, he comes to check me out and I unformed him he had made me late to my medical appointment. Again, no response nor apology for the wait. Blank expression. Her was able to ask me my name so he found could enter my name for payment. As I said, I've had good service there several times. Things happen- I get that but the absolute lack of caring was infuriating. I don't think he understands what an appointment means. He needs training including proper customer service. I'll be staying away from there until hopefully he isn't there anymore. Beyond frustrated!!!

Horrible service at this location. I brought my car in for a standard service and was assisted by a technician who looked indian with glasses and covered in hand, arm, and neck tattoos (including a cross on his neck). From the start, he was completely unfriendly, lacked any kind of positive attitude, and honestly seemed entirely incompetent. Customer service was non-existent. Between the terrible attitude and the lack of professionalism, I didn’t trust that my car was in good hands. Take your vehicle somewhere else where the staff actually cares about doing a good job

I'm impressed , Technicians used proper protection to take care of my paint while doing oil change, also, went by the book and confirmed all torque specs with the computer, checked air pressure and 360 lights functioning , fast service aswell , really impressed

I've been coming to the valvoline on state street in Niskayuna for 10 years. These guys are the best! True Professionals, friendly, curtious and they take great care of your vehicle. Highly recommend
