Mike's of Garden City Shell

Cool cats. Quick, accommodating. Small, clean, tidy shop. Friendly owner who's a legit car guy (their business card doesn't have an STI engine on it for no reason). Fair prices I don't have to worry. Way better than Grand Prix Subaru when it comes to honesty about what needs work. Seems like a great place to get mods done too. Convenient location, no busy block to get crowded in. While you wait, a couple blocks away there's a bunch of stores and a great bagel place.

I went in for a car photo inspection. The process was pretty quick. Didn't have a lot of interaction outside of this exchange so I have limited experience with them but it was a good one overall.

I was very please with my inspection didnt take long and they did a excellent job. thanks again i definely recommend them if you want someone honest

Photo-inspection, first come, first serve. It was a pleasure meeting Mike, extremely friendly, and was a straight-forward and swift process. Gave him a donation for cats he took in, very kind of him to do so, as I love animals myself. Went back two days later to check on my brakes, and they inspected them free of cost and adjusted my tire PSI. Overall, great experience!

I had a horrible experience. First he would not accept showing my insurance digital from my phone. I had to go and print it out who he could see it the same way he could see it from the phone. He also was upset that I pulled a car inside his shop, and in a very rude way he told me to pull it on the street. And after a long wait, he told me that the system was “down “and he could not do it.
