First off, let's begin with the fact this is not the same T & S auto of the last last 30 years. In fact, the person who took over last year kept the name - I imagine to ttry & keep Tommy's customers. Not knowing it was under new "ownership", I took my Honda S2K there in April of 2025; just like every previous year. I figured I could trust him with a simple Inspection. He assured me that the work I had done previously is still in the computer. Let me tell you that it is not. In fact, I doubt he could even turn it on. I asked him to pull up the type of synthetic T & S used before he got there. The 1980's computer wasn't even plugged in. Three times in the span of giving "Ronnie" (the new owner) my info, he called my car a Mazda 3, even though I corrected him. Any mechanic who does not know what an S2K is will NEVER work on my car. It's a good indicator he has limited amount of auto repair knowledge. Anyway, an hour later, my car was passed & complete. It also was a bit lighter on the $30+ of quarters I had in the storage compartment. That takes us to Friday April 3rd. Recently, while Honda was putting in a new starter, they handed my car back with a check engine light that hadn't been on for 4+ years. Took it to "Ronnie" on a whim just to get input. His exact words to me at 8AM were: "Go drive to Riverhead & back. If the lights off, he'll throw it right on the Inspection machine." I agreed & took off. First, I filled the tank to the top with 93 octane, like always & pushed up & down on back of car to maybe help with whatever trace amounts of old gas was still in the tank. Then, clicked my new Honda gas cap about 6 times! I get in, start it, & the light is off. So, I did what he suggested & drove the 48 mile, 1 hour round trip back to his bay door, but he's not there. I leave my keys with someone who didn't fully comprehend English. Told him to tell "Ronnie" that I did what he asked of me & the proof was on the trip odometer; 48 miles & light still off. Before I could walk home (3 blocks), he calls me frantically saying I have to drive it more than 48 miles, that his alleged machine failed it. Mind you, I was gone 120 seconds. I rush back as he begins wildly raising his voice that he's too busy & that I had to keep driving it. I asked him to make an appointment for me in 7 days, that I will have another 200 miles on it. He keeps telling me I don't understand him, which is partially correct - I only speak English, but his logic was insane. He kept saying I have to drive the car. I said I understand, so book me in 7 days & if the light is still off, he can do my inspection. Again, he tells me I'm not listening to him. I cut him off and asked if he was telling me my vintage collectors item will never again pass Inspection? Is that why he won't perform the easiest of tasks like book me a spot for 7 days later to inspect my car? Then I told him flat out he was lying about inspecting & failing my car in the 120 seconds I leftt the car (after he told me to burn money & time by driving to Exit 70 & back). He looked stunned. I told him that before I locked & armed my car, I also pushed the seat all the way up to the wheel & folded it down. I'm also borderline OCD & had just spent 2 hours washing & drying my Honda S2K the day before & asked him how he opened my door, brought it in for the test, then parked & left it & the seat in the exact same spot without leaving a single fingerprint on the handle in 3 minutes. Last year, I told him, after he inspected it, I had to re-wash the copious amount of greasy prints off it. Then standing by my driver's door, between he & the car, asked him what kind of car this was. "This?", he said. "It's a Mazda Miata". So, to his face I told him how I knew he didnt retest after sending me on a 48 mile meaningless run, that he was blatantly lying, & he was at least $25-30K off with his guess at what my car was. I filled him in about how I knew he didn't touch the car & cited the above reasons, especially the 3 minutes of my separation between drop-off & callback. 2 hours later, it passed!

View on GoogleMy wife Had a problem with her brakes, so She brought it to Joe at T&S. He was very honest reliable and the price was more than fair. View on GoogleJoey is the most disgusting human being I’ve ever met. Inside and out. His appearance matches his personality flawlessly. When you walk into T&S you’re likely to find Joey slumped with his gut hanging over the counter, food stains on his shirt, smoking a cigarette. He does shotty work, and over charges. Then his glutton and greed keeps him from paying his bills, causing him to be blackballed from every parts house in the area leading to increased repair times and costs. Avoid this place like the plague. You might actually get the plague if you step foot in here.
