We were out of town for a trip and Friday morning my wheeling failed. The gentleman was super helpful was able to get us in to take a look and ultimately have it repaired the next day by noon. Thank you for helping us get home!

The owner, Jerry (or Jay?) is a guardian angel. He's bailed me out of trouble on more than one occasion. I stupidly pressed my E-brake at the supermarket late, late at night one night while on a ski trip... AAA called Jerry and he arrived on the scene within a half hour... loosened up the brakes with a sledge hammer and slid my van with his van to his garage to finish the job. If it weren't for him, the weekend would have been a big dissapointment... Salt of the earth people at this garage. Ignore any bad reviews... Thank you guys for bailing me out last week...

Anybody that actually posts a negative review about this incredible Service Station needs to take a good, long hard look in the mirror! I decided to read a few reviews before posting my own, and the positive reviews reflect the exact experience my wife and I had. We had just come down from Whiteface mountain when the front right brake started smoking. We pulled over and explored our options... we were staying in Lake Placid so we called Central Garage (it's a Mobil gas and garage) and "Jerry " answered. Jerry turned out to be one of the nicest gentlemen one could ever hope to meet-he told us he would come tow us back but it might be awhile, so we opted to drive a couple miles then pull over and let the brake cool down. We did that several times and made it to the station. It was about 1 pm. After explaining what occurred and leaving our number and the key, Jerry offered to drive us back to the hotel and reassured us he'd try to look at it that day, a Tuesday. We were supposed to be leaving Thursday, and I told him it didn't matter if it took all of Wednesday to fix (the garage was very, very busy). Long story short, Jerry called us at about 5 pm Tuesday afternoon, and told us the truck was ready! In a million years I never expected they'd even look at it the same day, much less fix it!!! Jerry, you and your guys are just the greatest. I echo everything said in the outstanding reviews I happened to read. I also wish there were more honest to goodness souls such as yourself around these days. A classic gentleman- he went out of his way for us, and we are so thankful!!! As a woman, going to a garage always presents a problem. There's the fear of being taken advantage of due to a lack of knowledge in mechanics. For the first time, I felt safe in a garage. I had a wonderful experience. I loved their transparency, authenticity, simplicity, and especially their uniqueness. Thank you for the excellent service. I recommend it to everyone: I wish there were more people like you in society. Keep up the excellent work, and thank you for everything.I have no problem with you embracing a certain political ideology, and in fact, it makes me admire you even more. Speak up with your thoughts! I'm not sure why people feel the need to leave bad reviews based on any sign they see. This doesn't affect the services you provide. I admire your authenticity and your courage in facing judgment. Drove up from Pa in a blizzard and got a flat tire. Made it the rest of the way on a spare, and these guys fixed me as a walk in. Plugged two tires with no appointment for very cheap. Also nicely located in town so you can walk around the stores while your car is worked on. Also one of the only local stations with e93 gasoline!
