Vignogna Performance

PLEASE READ!!!! This guy may seem friendly and reasonable at first glance, but don't be fooled by Jim Vignogna's welcoming personality. My engine would have been DESTROYED had I not gone the extra mile of verifying his work, which was already self-apparent. I had an engine taken over to Jim to have re-bored, valve guides pressed in, analyzed, core plugs changed, and hot tanked. Several months later, the product I got was a bitter disappointment. He said he had bored .030 over, but upon closer inspection, some bores were off by several thousandths. The valve guides were all pounded in randomly, with some deviating more than an inch from their correct positioning. No hot tank, leaky core plugs still present, you name it! To make matters worse, he had the nerve to still charge me for a hot tanking when it was obvious that he clearly did NO CLEANING EFFORT whatsoever. The bill in total was close to $1000 for everything, and that was without tax. Jim also failed to mention to me upon delivery that there was a crack on one of the valve seats. Upon realizing this sometime later down the road, I tried asking him about it, only for him to shut me away by saying “I am closing shop because I am moving to Florida, cannot do any more work.“ Guess what, he is still in business as of 2025. This happened in early 2024 mind you, so let what I have told you sink in. I eventually took my engine over to a REAL machinist, and he too agreed that the work Jim performed was below amateur for a so-called Performance shop. To add the cherry on top, I ended up spending 40% less for what was a one-billion times better job than what Jim could ever put out. To put it to you simply, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! To prove to you that this is NOT a fabricated review, I have the receipt from this guy attached. If you are all still reading this, good luck out there with your projects. End of message.

Jimmy is the best. I am a shop owner and ASE master Tech and Jimmy is my only goto when it comes to machine work and engine internal repair. Forget all the haters Jimmy is the real deal!

Been using jimmy for about 20 years. 1000 plus horsepower cars are no problem for him
