Gardner Road Auto Repair

I drove down from Canada for a family emergency, and while nearly at Horseheads heard a loud noise under my car. I took it to a Volkswagen dealer in Ithaca and after explaining that I could only stay one week, said they could not touch it for 2 weeks and would cost me $200.00 just to look at it. Family recommended Gardner Auto Repair and I brought it there. Tracey and his wife were so great, understanding my situation. My car was repaired the next day, and for 1/4 the price of the dealer. I cannot say enough about this business and highly recommend them for any repairs you may have.

We called this garage last Tuesday for a control arm. They were supposed to be here at 2pm and didn't show until 3pm. Took a picture to order the part said it's drivable, bring it up. We drove up up at 6am Wednesday before the storm. Lady said we aren't open at 6am. Ok but you spent the day plowing for cash instead of working on vehicles. She said, "yeah??" 😳😳 They never even ordered the part, said they were told to check into a national recall on control arms. There is no national recall on control arms. I explained people can't go for weeks without a vehicle and I was picking mine up. She hung up on me. I'm taking it to a reputable shop that cares about customer service. These business wonder why they go out of business 🤔

I had my car taken to Gardner Road Auto in Horseheads, and the repairs are going to be more than the vehicle is worth. I went and got a new car at Simmons Rockwell, so this other car is no longer needed. I make a deal to sell the car to someone who is willing to pick it up, I let Gardner Road know, and they made an "offer" that was much lower than what I was getting. Once I told them (Tracey & Cindy) that I didn't want to back out on my original agreement, they got angry and told me I had to have the car off their property in 30 minutes and that I mysteriously now had a $100.00 "inspection fee" that was never mentioned previously. This place is a terrible joke, please avoid the hassle and the headache, and go pretty much anywhere else.

Made an appointment for an inspection at noon here it is 4:20pm call to see when it would be done the old woman who answered the phone is rude as hell!! The shop was EMPTY when I dropped my truck off now suddenly there is a car being repaired in there!! How do you take in a repair job and not do an inspection that had an appointment?? Will be picking my truck up at 5:30 and filing complaints with the bbb.and then state!!! Never again I will drive without an inspection before I EVER use them again!!

Very rude and disrespectful staff the place is total dump. Would not send my own worst enemy to them to have a wiper changed. Word of advice find a different place to go too
