K and K auto

I've been coming to k&k for my car since I moved to Hornell almost ten years ago and have always had a pleasant and fair experience, until this most recent one. Called to make an appt to have my wheel bearing fixed and then have my car inspected. The receptionist was rude from the moment she answered the call, through every other time I had to interact with her. I dropped my car off the night before with not a single light on, not even a low tire light (which is the most typical one to show up for me) and waited all the next day for a call to say my car was ready. I get off work at 4:30 and still haven't heard anything so I drove there to see if it was ready and she started arguing with me that my check engine light was already on. It wasn't. I know this and my fiance. She then proceeds to tell me that I must have just not noticed it. Funny thing is, she said the girl that left before me miraculously didn't notice hers either. Hmmm. Then my fiance shows up and her whole demeanor changes. She knows she can't bully me as easily now. When I got in my car, my light was on because they had just changed the wheel bearing DUH. it goes off the next morning so I call to ask if I can come get my sticker and she is instantly nasty again. Saying that she "already explained to me that they will have to join it back up to the computer to make sure nothing pops up" . I say okay and have my fiance come with me and low and behold, she just sits there silently until it's time to check me out. I will never be returning. Very disappointed

Personally bad experience. I took my Escape there that needed a wastegate replaced. Since then I have paid more and more money to have hoses replaced. They were under the hood more than enough times to see if anything else needed fixed while diagnosing. After this last time all of a sudden another hose for the turbo broke. They are blaming the last mechanic instead of themselves for not catching something that would be obvious. Would not recommend to anyone that needs serious work done.

I was reluctant to go there yesterday for an inspection because of my last inspection experience but yesterday reminded me of K&K of old. My friend went with me again and before we even opened the door we could see a difference. My friend thought it was new owners and even asked but it is still K&K. The only differences I know of are that a person has retired, a person has been hired, and the person taking care of you is different and refreshing. As for the reception area, it is on par with dealerships and large automotive establishments. My husband has been a mechanic for 34 years so as long as his health and the health of his family and friends hold out he will do his own work but as for inspections they have our repeat business and hopefully after reading this review yours also.

Told me to bring my car in just to tell me they didn’t have enough time to look over everything. Why tell me to come in then if you aren’t going to look over everything.

What a pleasant place to go. Called with my issues of my sensor light on. She said bring right up and we will see if we can help u or if u have to go to ur dealership for a reset. She got me right in and my car was fixed within an hour with an oil change also. If there was 6 stars I would give them 6. Thank you
