I would strongly advise anyone considering service at Nissan of Westbury to think twice. I arrived for my scheduled 9:30 AM appointment for an oil change and New York State inspection. I finally left at 2:28 PM. What should have been a routine service appointment took nearly five hours. The biggest issue wasn’t even the excessive wait time it was the complete lack of communication and the attitude of the service staff. After waiting more than three hours, I approached the service desk for an update. I was told they were running behind because it was Saturday. I was then informed that my vehicle was being looked at for a noise concern and a warranty repair in addition to the oil change. The problem? I never reported any noise concern, and nobody asked for my authorization or even informed me that additional work was being performed. When I questioned this, the service advisor, Angel, became argumentative instead of helpful. When I explained that I had never requested this work and had never been notified about it, I was told, “I don’t have to ask you.” That response alone should concern every customer who brings their vehicle here. After that point Angel never again communicated with me. When I asked how long an oil change typically takes, I was told one to two hours. Yet I spent almost five hours at the dealership with little explanation and no accountability. To make matters worse, around 2:00 PM they attempted to return my vehicle to me. At that point, I realized the inspection I specifically made the appointment for had not even been completed. We then had to go back and forth with the service department yet again before they finally performed the inspection. How does a dealership keep a customer waiting nearly five hours for an oil change and inspection and still fail to complete all the services that were originally scheduled? At this point, I have serious concerns about the transparency, organization, and professionalism of this service department. Between the lack of communication, unauthorized work being performed, dismissive attitudes, excessive wait times, and failure to complete the services requested, I have no confidence in the quality of the work performed on my vehicle. This was, without question, one of the worst dealership service experiences I have ever had. I will never return to Nissan of Westbury for service, and I would not recommend this service department to anyone who values professionalism, communication, or respect for their time.

Huge shoutout to Angel for taking such great care of me and my car. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and helped me get my inspection quickly. They treated me like a valued customer and made the whole experience pleasant. Highly recommend! Not only was he friendly he just literally arrived to start his work day like any normal person for work and as soon as he got in he didn’t hesitate to help me while I waited patiently to be seen. That shows he is very attentive of what is going on and is willing to help in a heartbeat. Thank you Angel.
