Lexus of Freeport Service Department

I purchased my Lexus only three weeks ago and expected a level of professionalism consistent with a luxury brand. Unfortunately, my experience at Lexus of Freeport was the complete opposite. I was told my vehicle would be ready in approximately 35 minutes. I waited over an hour and twenty minutes with no updates. When I finally approached the service desk to ask if my car was ready, the staff was unsure whether it had even been washed. When I asked to speak with the manager, Michael Mac, the interaction became even more concerning. Rather than attempting to resolve the situation, the tone was dismissive and defensive. At one point, my keys were tossed toward me and I was told my car was “out front to the right,” with no further explanation. Additionally, the vehicle was returned still wet, the wash appeared rushed, and there was no communication throughout the extended wait. When I asked about the interior, I was told, “This isn’t a detailing,” in a way that felt unnecessarily condescending. The most unprofessional moment was when the manager handed me his business card and said, “When you speak to someone higher up and they offer you free car washes, let me know.” That comment alone speaks for itself. This is not the level of service I expected three weeks into owning a new Lexus. I left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable.

My husband, brother, and I made an unplanned visit to the dealership I experienced an instant connection. We were impressed that the staff genuinely wanted to help us choose the right vehicle for our requirements. The dealership was warm and inviting, with a friendly staff. The sales team, General Manager 👉🏼 (Humble person)and sales team all contributed to a positive experience. Brendan, the sales team member, stood out for his exceptional service and impressive personality. He worked with us to understand our budget and went the extra mile, even in cold weather. I am so happy I found LEXUS of FREEPORT! Dan & Chris made my experience flawless and I can’t thank them enough! Backstory: I live 2 hours away in northern New Jersey and purchased my Lexus NX250 back in 2022 from the same dealership. Due to the long distance, I was always going to a local Lexus dealer for service appointments. While driving, I recently started to hear a bizzare noise near the front drivers tire. After taking it to the local Lexus dealer, they determined that it was the shocks/struts and the repair is going to cost me $4300. I was told that warranty isn’t going to cover it and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I was very disappointed and left the dealership and called Lexus of Freeport to get a second opinion. In conclusion, Lexus of Freeport ended up fully repairing the issue at NO COST to me and also provided me a loaner for 2 weeks! I am so relieved and happy with the overall service. My TX 500h was serviced at the Lexus of Freeport dealership. My service person was Dan Dengler. He provided the absolute best customer service. He was very knowledgeable and clearly explained what my car needed without any pushy sales tactics. Dan made my service appointment incredibly smooth and arranged a loaner while my car was in the shop. I really appreciate Dan Dengler’s professionalism and honesty. The next time I’m at the Lexus of Freeport, I’m definitely asking for Dan to be my service advisor.
